It would take an incredibly focused offseason where we identify the defense, specifically the line as a problem and pull out the stops to address it.

Given our track record drafting, I would not bet on it.

If u read this forum there are a boat load of threads on what Dallas is looking at right now. McClay spent the day looking at 4 guys Donald, Hageman, Murphy, Martin. If 3 of them are the first 3 picks of the draft this is a great thing for this team.

He wants to run something similar to Seattle but we don't have their DL esp the DTs. I think their DBs are as important though. They come up and tackle as well as cover well. So we're a ways away from that D but they don't have our offense either. We have to find people who can stay healthy and play well.

He refused to implement more man defense which is the cornerstone of the Seattle D? Sherman doesn't pass off his WR to some noob just learning zone concepts (Wilcox, Heath, even Church) Both D's rely on the front 4 for pressure and minimal blitzing but are not the same D. We begged for our CBs to play more press man during the gouging but we saw the zone D give us 40 1st downs, 3rd worst D in NFL history, etc. Way to cling on to another team's success to whitewash your past seasons embarrassment...

I think that more then anything Dallas needs, health. If they can keep the core on def healthy they can win games. And if they can just get a little depth they are a playoff team. Cowboys never make it easy, but they make it entertaining. and i love that. I never get bored with this team.
