Dallas just beat the best team in football. Let that sink in

We have to also let it sink in that we barely eeked out the win despite Philly being led by Gardner Minshew, who accounted for at least 2 turnovers. Anyone who thinks they’re not a better team with Jalen Hurts who’s having an MVP year is kidding themselves. We would’ve had a tough time dealing with his mobility. The only way we got Philly off the field for the most part was 4 turnovers. That saved us from giving up more points. I’m certainly happy for the win but our defense is going to have to play much better than what it has the past 4 games or we’re headed for doomsville in the playoffs. We needed Dak’s best game of the season to win this game. It took everything the Cowboys had to keep Minshew and company from pulling the game out. Parsons looked like he was going to pass out he was so tired. We had to take a timeout to give him a breather.

Truth. We gave up 37 points to a team with their backup QB who threw a total of 4 passes the entire season. Happy we won but realistically we did not play well on defense and will have our hands full with any playoff team.

Sure, if we get them to turn the ball over 4 or more times, we can beat them in the playoffs. But that's no guarantee. The Eagles turned the ball over 4 times twice this season. They lost both those games.
But that’s true 99 out if 100 times. The team that wins the turnover battle will win the game. Dallas turned the ball over thrice in Philly and lost. Same in Green Bay.

Not sure if they’re the best but one of the best and we did it minus 5 defensive starters. Pretty impressive. And laid a 40 burger on them as a parting gift. Lmao!

Whatever you want to say, if we hadn't blown games to the 5-8 Jaguars and losing record Packers we'd be the #1 seed, as it stands now we have to go on the road where we haven't won a road playoff game in 30 years. Wake me up when we make the NFC Championship which we haven't in 26 years.
So you’ll not watch the Cowboys playoff games before the NFCCG?

I don't think Green Bay or Jacksonville are better than the Cowboys, yet we lost. It happens. But who liked them winning outright before the game?

I'm not saying it's impossible. We could have some individual heroics against the Eagles in the playoffs, I just wouldn't put any money on it.

You are soooooo naive.
I appreciate his fandom. Eagles struggled to beat us with Cooper Rush as our starter, even after gifting them 3 turnovers at their place.

We returned the favor against their backup QB who’s arguably better than ours, while we also were missing some key defensive players.

We’re a solid 11-4 team. The best? No. To be determined. Enjoy the win. And try and enjoy the journey.

I think most people, even Cowboys fans, would say the Eagles are a better team given the injuries on the defensive side. But the point is that if Dallas wins the turnover battle 4-1, they’ll most likely win the game.

I don’t remember the Eagles turning the ball over against the WFT in their loses. I didn’t watch most of that game, but what I remember from what I watched was penalties.

I hope we get to play them again because that’ll mean we won at least 1 playoff game.

we can beat them heads up as long as we do not give them a pick 6 or free big plays
works both ways, game 1 rush gave them 3 INTS... it was 3 point game in the 4th in philly with Rush..just saying

I say we are pretty close in talent, so all things even the game still goes very much like it did yesterday but lower scoring ie a 1 score game IMHO more like 27-20 type game could go either way but both teams healthy, both teams play heads up no mistakes, its still close..

Good luck convincing that to some here. One fan is predicting that if we meet up with Philly again in the playoffs we’ll put 50 on them. Lol It doesn’t take much to get fans back on the bandwagon pounding their chests again acting like the Cowboys are invincible. If it’s going to take around 350 yards and three TDs from Dak and our defense forcing 4 turnovers to eek out a 6 point win at home against a team playing with a backup QB we’re definitely going to have our hands full on the road in the playoffs.

Also remember, we let their offense score only 27 points this game. Last game, they scored 26 points. We had a "weaker" defense this time yet the defensive production was about the same result wise. Just this time, we let them pass all over the place. last time, they ran all over us. We were pretty decent in run defense, but they did pass the ball a lot, which is a strength of Gardner Minnshew. (spelling?)

I don’t think the Eagles are even the third best team in football

..yes, they did. Convincing win too, with injury ridden defense.

Turnovers are a part of playing good defense. The Cowboys lead the league in forcing turnovers.
Look at the turnovers though. One was a botched handoff. The interceptions were good though. If hurts played yesterday there are probably fewer than two turnovers.

Big win against a good team but despite their record I don’t believe they are the best team in football in fact I don’t even think they are best in nfc

I think San Fran is right now and I think right now you could make a case for cincy and KC both being better

big win nonetheless

Philly turned the ball over 4 times against Washington. It's the only other time this year they turned it over 4 times.

As far as winning one playoff game goes, it's not really a big accomplishment. We'd be favored, we're the better team, and we should win. Like we did in 2018 against the Seahawks. The issue with Dallas in the playoffs is that they never overachieve. They never upset anyone.

Its a differenrlt game if hurts plays. Maybe the cowboys win maybe not. Cowboys defense was able to get turnovers, gifting the offense short fields within roughly 30 yards of the endzone each time. That advantage is huge. I dont know that happens if hurts plays. Clearly when he plays he runs way more than mustache, keeps scoring low, maybe that plays into cowboys hands. It did earlier when rush nearly won. Then again rush didnt throw a pick 6.

You don't have to convince me. If Dallas beats Philly in the playoffs, I would fall off my chair. I'll end up still doing that, but that would be later on, due to alcohol consumption.
