btw, congrats to the mavs fans on the board, completely destroying the lakers was awesome! i thoroughly enjoyed it! it was fun cheering for you guys but im afraid it must come to an end now (unless you guys play miami in the finals, ill be back on your bandwagon if that happens)

i would like to thank the mavs and lakers both for this series, no one will remember this for the spurs losing as the #1 seed anymore. (also thanks to the grizzle for playing so well and making the pain less severe)

good luck to the mavs the rest of the way

I am happy for the Mavs fans

Still two more series to go if we want to win the championship, gotta keep the pedal to the metal! But, this series was awesome!

Incredible series for the Mavs. OWNED the Lakers, punk moves by them at the end but they get a nice seat on the couch to watch the Mavs head to the finals.

I feel very confident beating either the Grizzlies or the Thunder. IMO (knock on wood) we should be heading to the finals.

We should

Mavs Fans: Who would you prefer to face in the western conference finals? Thunder or Grizzlies?

Me too. I just got more confidence against them.

But we did beat OKC without Dirk and Caron earlier this year.

Either way im just happy we're about to get a ton of rest.

It's priceless for our veteran group.

I think we probably match up better against the Thunder but I heard a decent point earlier, Memphis is an 8th seed for a reason. Durant is a beast, Westbrook may give Kidd some trouble but then again our bench is far better than theirs.

We were the 8 seed because of a bad start to the season. I know it was the regular season we were 3-1 vs the Mavs.

Yeah Memphis matches up well with us, they are a big team and Randolph kills us but I think we can take either team. First the Blazers, then the Lakers, I think thats a really tough road to the conference finals. Probably the toughest in the playoffs.

Both Memphis and OKC deserve some respect right now.

I don't think Memphis' regular season record at all reflects who they are now...and anyone who know hoops and has watched them down the stretch would agree.

OKC has a some really nice weapons but lucky for us, Marion handles Durant fairly well.

I'd rather face OKC, but they're pretty good too.

We got a lot of current and former great Veteran players that are about to get a lot of rest so I say good luck to whoever is up next.

So after watching the Bulls/Hawks game im convinced that Derrick Rose is a complete fraud of an MVP.

The Grizzlies, mainly because Dallas has nobody who can guard Russell Westbrook and the Grizzlies play a similar style as Los Angeles with more athleticism and minus an elite perimeter scorer.

Memphis gave Dallas more trouble in the regular season, but two of their three wins came before Rudy Gay and Xavier Henry got hurt, one was when Dirk was out and this is a much better Mavericks team than the one they beat in the regular season. The bottom line is that Memphis just doesnt have the horses to score with this current Mavericks team on a consistent basis. They'll defend the three better, but they have nobody who can guard Dirk. Gasol is not quick enough and Dirk regularly abused Randolph when he was with Portland. Battier is their best option, and Dirk will just shoot over him like he has his whole career when various teams have tried Battier on him.

San Antonio is old, slow, unathletic and lacks outside shooting. Tony Parker has lost the quickness that once defined him and Duncan is about a year away from being just another role player. Outside of Ginobili, they just don't have anyone who can create anymore.

Dallas has many more scoring options, a star at the top of his game and several players (Barea, Terry, Nowitzki) who can still drive the bucket and get their own shots.

I don't think the Mavs want to be playing an 8th seed again. ;)

BTW: Put some blame on Terry for starting all this when he took that cheapshot on Blake when they were getting blown out last month. Don't think they forgot about that. Bet u Odom and Bynum was just getting payback.

The NBA should suspend Bynum for a year. Not only was that an extremely cheap and dirt shot with intent to injure, his response to it afterwards shows how big a POS he is.

As for Odom, he should get the normal response. One game suspension. You could see he was frustrated. He clearly didn't have intent to injury like Bynum did and he was very apologetic after the game.

Someone should have threw something heavy at Bynum when he was walking out. Preferably hit him in the eye with it.
