Dallas Mavs Playoff thread

I didn't realize Bynum had this type of history with those cheap-shot elbow fouls. What were his suspensions/fines before?

IMO, he should get a nice lengthy suspension this time. It's definately becoming too much of a routine with him....

Overblown. After LeBron drops 40+ on Boston tonight, the 24/7 news cycle will not talk about Bynum again until Stern levies a suspension, and then it'll be a blurb on the ticker.
How could u root for the Cheat? Huck the Feat frontrunner.Go Mavs Go! MFFL!!!

Bynum has done this before. Here's the same hit he put on Barea, but he sent this guy to the hospital:

As I said, they need to suspend him for an entire year at the absolute minimum. They guy is just a bad person at his core. He is ghetto bush-league and doesn't deserve the opportunity to play at the professional level. ...because he isn't a professional.

Certainly if they pay attention to the fact that he has repeatedly done this the penalty should be harsh.

I still remember right before the series with the Lakers, Magic Johnson tweeted that no one on the Mavs can guard Kobe. Thinks the Lakers will win the series.

Kobe is a top 5 player in this league and is very hard to guard, but the Mavs did a great job playing defense and fighting for rebounds. Cowherd refuses to give the Mavs any credit and continues to say it was more internal issues that did in the Lakers. Whatever!

This Mavs team is built differently than previous Mavs teams. Watch out!

Cowherd is a total West Coast homer.
He also sucks up to the long established teams in all sports....espcecially the Lakers.
So he can be discounted completely.

As for the make-up of the Mavs, yes, this is a tougher team. Chandler and Haywood make a nice inside tandem defensively. Marion plays great D too, and Kidd is pretty crafty.

Actually, there are only 2 players still on this team that played in the 2006 Finals. It's hard to compare when only a couple of the players are the same.

Also, he hates the cowboys, maybe he is just hating on all of DFW now

So Bynum got 5 games, nowhere near the whole YEAR some of you were clamoring for, but I do think he should have gotten 10 games because of previous things he has done

I think people are overlooking his obvious drop in ability this past year out of respect, but he isn't getting younger and it's starting to show. He has largely lost his driving and slashing ability

No it wasn't... Blake had the ball, Dirk didn't.
Give me a break. Terry pushed Blake when the play was dead and it was obviously intentional. Like i said, take off your homer glasses. You'd be crying a suspension if the roles were reversed.

Yea should have got 25 games. But... he always misses 50 due to soft knees anyway.

When the play was dead?? Blake was driving to the basket. Call me whatever you want, but it doesn't change the fact you're wrong.

the problem is there'll be suspensions for a game or two to start next year. That means nothing. Hell, Bynum will be injured anyway.
well 5 is more than I thought.

All depends on who you play for...

Bynum has been a punk for years... if he had played for the Clips it would have been a LOT more...

no doubt

If Bynum played for the Timberwolves or the Kings it would have been 10+ easily. The league has to protect their cash cows.

Cant wait for the game in a couple hours, I have been beyond ready for a while now!

Get it Mavs!

this series is so hard to predict, and i dont think game 1 is gonna be an indicator of the way the series will go. but i think by game 2 we will have a better idea
