someone needs to photoshop a mirrored mavs logo on the chest of bizzaro! 4th quarter comebacks against the defending champs? what is this!

awesome performance down the stretch by dirk, if he wasnt making shots, he was setting up his teammates. sloppy execution by the lakers also helped

in all seriousness though its still to early to celebrate, the lakers are a team that can come back and win 4 games in a row and the mavs are a team that can give it up, gotta keep the pedal to the metal!

Best set of bigman are you kidding me? :lmao2: Oh man Mavs fans are funny. First of there is no way that is true. Odom, Gasol, Bynum >>>>>> Dirk, Chandler, Haywood and second no way yall are deeper than Boston, L.A., or even the Spurs. The Mavs are playoff chokers and will get killed by the Lakers in the playoffs. Well that is if they dont choke in the 1st round again.

id rather have the spurs, lakers, celts, magics or bulls bench ANY day!! id rather have mike miller, the only decent bench guy in miami, over ANY of the mavs bench players

and thats beside the point that rotations get shortened to 8 or 9 players during the playoffs, so its really only the top 3 or 4 bench players that contribute, and from where im sitting, id rather have george hill, antonio mcdyess and gary neal over any three mavs bench warmers you can come up with

Silly to think for a second that the Mavs bigs are better than the Lakers.

Absolutely homerism at its best.

The Lakers bench could start in most cities.

Odom, Blake, Brown, Walton, Ratliff, Ebanks, Caracter.

Tisk Tisk ;) Yeah, we haven't won anything. As a Mavericks fan for my whole life, I know that ever too well. But I couldnt pass up these memorable quotes.

i still stand by my statement, the lakers top 7 guys are better than the mavs top 7 guys, plus bynum is still destroying you guys. what i didnt see happening was gasol regressing to a huge pansie and the mavs actually able to use a large rotation during the playoffs. usually you have to shorten your rotation in the playoffs but the mavs have been able to use their depth in the playoffs just as they would in the regular season.

To each their own.

I disagree, the Mavs finished second in bench production this season and they have the deepest bench in the league imo

MAVS!!!!! 3-0, absolutely amazing! I am damn proud to be a Mavs fan tonight.

Perhaps if all players were in their prime, but as of right now this is simply not true. Fisher is done and is more useful as moral support than as a player at this point, Artest and Odom are shells of their former selves, Kobe is entering the late jump-shooting stage of his career and doesnt have the same quickness he used to, Pau has been declining since early this season, and Steve Blake wouldnt even make the Mavericks roster. Matt Barnes is a clown who is more concerned with his rep than playing basketball and Shannon Brown is a nice little bench player who thinks he is an all-star and takes a ton of ill-advised shots. Bynum is playing very well, but he just doesnt have the skill set to take over a series by himself.

Meanwhile, Dirk is at the absolute height of his game, Terry and Chandler are playing as well as they ever have, Barea has developed into a fine little player who knows his role and has outplayed both Fisher and Blake, and Peja has apparently found the fountain of youth in Dallas. Jason Kidd is old and not what he once was but is still by far the best point guard between the two teams. Marion is, well, not close to what he once was but is about on par with Artest.

Through three games Dallas has three of the four best players in this series, and none of them are named Kobe Bryant.

Kobe is tired from carrying this team all year.

Odom and Bynum are the only guys that look like they want to play.

Fisher is too old to be effective as a perimeter defender anymore.

Calling my shot early, but I think Pau Gasol is finished. I don't think he'll ever recover and I think he's in epic freefall as far as diminishing skills.

Lakers need to get another big and get younger at PG. Shannon Brown needs to work on his long range jumper this off-season, because he's definitely got the quickness to slash and get to the bucket.

If Bynum can finally get healthy, the Lakers have a pretty damn good center...but they need another powerful inside guy.

Odom should play 35-40 minutes a game. Inexcusable that he's been coming off the bench this long - his length allows him to do things around the bucket against players similar to what Turkoglu and Rashard Lewis did for the Orlando Magic a few years back.

At any rate, they're done, and I think any championship hopes in the near future are done too -- the Miami Heat is the frontrunner, and will only get better this off-season.

Not to defend the Lakers, but Pau Gasol finished? Epic freefall diminishing skills? He averaged nearly 19 points and over 10 boards a game this year. Statistically, it was one of his best seasons ever.
