LOL! I'm loving the Lakers being down 3-0. This is WONDERFUL!

Fisher is done and is more useful as moral support than as a player at this point, Artest and Odom are shells of their former selves, Kobe is entering the late jump-shooting stage of his career and doesnt have the same quickness he used to, Pau has been declining since early this season, and Steve Blake wouldnt even make the Mavericks roster. Matt Barnes is a clown who is more concerned with his rep than playing basketball and Shannon Brown is a nice little bench player who thinks he is an all-star and takes a ton of ill-advised shots. Bynum is playing very well, but he just doesnt have the skill set to take over a series by himself.
Meanwhile, Dirk is at the absolute height of his game, Terry and Chandler are playing as well as they ever have, Barea has developed into a fine little player who knows his role and has outplayed both Fisher and Blake, and Peja has apparently found the fountain of youth in Dallas. Jason Kidd is old and not what he once was but is still by far the best point guard between the two teams. Marion is, well, not close to what he once was but is about on par with Artest.
Through three games Dallas has three of the four best players in this series, and none of them are named Kobe Bryant.

Bynum is playing well but he isn't "destroying" the Mavs obviously, or they wouldn't be up 3-0

danielofthesaints;3944689 said:Ehh. Your comparison of the dominance of Amare to Bynum is quite misleading. Bynum has only averaged 15.7 pts and 9.3 rbs per game for the last 3 games. Those numbers are by no means "destructive", especially to the 35+ pt comparison of Amare. They are just solid numbers for a starting center in the playoffs.
baj1dallas;3944765 said:I think you misunderstood me a little. If Bynum was destroying the Mavs the series would be closer. But he's done almost nothing in the fourth quarter. He's playing well, but not dominant - a la Dirk.
I saw on the ESPN ticker yesterday I think it was, that they've said he's not coming back.Corleone;3944783 said:Side note, I know Caron Butler said he could return in the playoffs then they rules him for Portland and he almost got cleared for LA until getting ruled out so has anyone heard of a conference finals return? I think its doubtful, and even if he did he might take a while to get back to form regardless.
The30YardSlant;3945021 said:If/When this game truly gets out of hand Jackson has a responsibility to get Artest out of the game. Ron has that crazy look in his eyes and is just looking for a reason to kill somebody.
Good points... and with the recent history between these two teams I won't be surprised if it happens. But I don't think Phil will take anyone out until pretty late if it's still a 20 point game. He's retiring and he's traded barbs with Cuban. I could just see him washing his hands of whatever happened, if something did.The30YardSlant;3945033 said:I just want this second half to get over with quickly and without any injuries. The Lakers are a very proud team and I would not be shocked if Dallas is on the receiving end of a few cheap shots, especially from Artest and Barnes.
it will be a Kobe elbow to Berrera sp? headThe30YardSlant;3945033 said:I just want this second half to get over with quickly and without any injuries.
