YEAH let's just take the Minny deal and get their 3rd.
Oh wait...........
Oh wait...........
What Norm totally ignores was that they never had any intention to draft Steven Jackson. Parcells wanted Kevin Jones if they could trade back up in the first and Julius Jones if they couldn't. Jackson had medical red flags which is the reason he dropped like rock in the first place.InmanRoshi;3926512 said:As Norm pointed out this morning ... we traded down out of Steven Jackson for Julius Jones, but the good news is we got Jacob Rogers out of it.

Just had a visit with a NE authority that doesn't believe NE will pay market value to move up so DAL will probably not get deal they hope.
Heard this morning that Washington is interested in Jordan.ukinto8;3926442 said:who do the pats think they need to jump ahead of??
They were compensated, they don't owe them anything. But the fact they have a good relationship makes it easy for them to do more deals.CoCo;3926671 said:Remember how some marveled at how inexpensive it was to leapfrog Baltimore and snag Dez last year? And it was Belichek/NE who made it possible. I wonder if there is any "you owe me" to these discussions with NE.
If it's an arms-length transaction both years then we shouldn't have to worry. Personally, I never want to be "beholdin" to someone. Bad things man...

I call BS, if they called Dallas then no way they are dead. Right now they were just feeling each other out. When Dallas is on the clock is when things are either dead or alive.marchetta;3926705 said:Stacey Dale, of NFL Network, just reported that potential NE deals with Cleveland or Dallas are dead. Remember Rob did coach under Bill B. for 3 years.
Let that one marinate for a while.

Randy White;3926735 said:Very true, but that doesn't mean the trade was a bad idea. The execution ( What they did with the picks ) was terrible, but the idea wasn't bad. For example, instead of Jones and Rogers, had they picked Bob Sanders and Dornell Dockett, nobody would have been complaining today.
