If the first rumors are true then nothing should be determined until they are on the clock. Deals like this are made then, everything before is just to put out feelers.

This either means Dallas got a better deal with another team to trade back or NE got a better deal with a team ahead of us.
No matter what I still think Dallas traes back and picks either Castanzo oe Watt. Not saying I agree with this just saying this is what I think happens.

Oh well, #17 was too far to move down for what they offered in my opinion.

Wouldn't be surprised if none of this is true and it's just a last ditch effort by these guys to get some eyeballs.

Once the draft is over, no one is going to care what they have to say.

It's not like they would make a deal a few hours before the draft. Deals are made when on the clock when they know who is available. If Julio Jones is there, the Cowboys could get some outrageous offers while on the clock.

According to Shefter, the Pats indicated they're not willing to give up a 2nd round pick in addition to their first to get a 5-technique DE. Reportedly, they don't consider that position worth that sort of investment. Sounds like Dallas, indeed, tried to require them to give up their 33rd pick.

FWIW, Mosley just said that despite what everyone has said, he thinks only about four QBs go in the first round. Also says that based on conversations as of the last 45 minutes or so, he thinks Locker to the Titans could be real.

That sounds exactly like how the Patriots operate. Always somehow rolling their lower 1st rounder in to another first round pick the next. Year after year.
