Dak is in on it.

Lance must have absolutely no interest from anyone around the League if the Cowboys refused to let him play in the hopes they could trade him at deadline.

I guess eating the 4th round pick is better than embarrassing yourself by allowing him to play? Even if there was still a chance he came in and balled out for a couple of games?
Nothing on this team makes sense. Why are you trying to figure lance?

Biggest problem on this team isn't just one player. Opponents DOUBLE our rushing yards 519 to their 1082. That is absolutely insane.
The combination of Dallas sucking at running the, essentially ignoring it and the trash defense not stopping the run are huge.
Impossible to be a successful team.

Without a good QB a team can't compete or expect to win. Right now, Dallas doesn't have that. Dallas can't keep throwing multiple INTs per game.
That doesn't matter. The Cowboys have agreed to a hefty contract with Dak Prescott to be QB1. No one wants to hear this, but it is reality.

Whatever floats your boat pal. Actual comparison between the two is impossible of course, so I would rarely waste much energy on the subject.
Call it what you want. I understood that a trigger name was posted from the beginning in my initial thread.........Romo. And the name will cause immediate defensive feedback and any misunderstanding of a comparative point being made about big moments & big games. Like simply only reading the cover & table of contents, followed by raising hand (vigorously) when asked "Who read the book?" Think about that.

Now if we take the test, after raising our hand......I'm afraid we just might be saddened after the test.

I'm good, thanks for asserting your undying love for Romo's play. I knew the responses would flow. The point always missed......we've been through disappointments despite high expectations before. No problem with going in the weeds or moving the goalposts to hail Romo. Contrary to the ring assertion.... there's Marino, Fouts, Kelly, Moon, or Esiason just to name a few without a ring that were great/good QBs and more. While the narratives of Romo & Dak are definitely different......the end results have been the same and includes disappointments at the wrong times or biggest moments.
I agree with this, and that was the point I was trying to make. I did enjoy watching Romo play; he has plenty of signature plays (good and bad), but they’re memorable. To me, Dak is just this stale, declining player that is completely unwatchable; Romo never got to that point with me. Romo actually got BETTER into the later years of his career, while Dak has clearly declined, can't read coverages to save his life, and still makes unfathomable mistakes on a consistent basis.

Ok.....respect your opinion but I do not agree fully, respectfully. Dak is stale, a declining player and Romo never got to that point with you. No problem. I liked Romo too, so let's not conclude anything different.

Point: Civility despite differences in opinion.

I cheer/ed hope, critique/ed, enjoy/ed and get baffled all the same for both QBs (Romo/Dak). I'm just not like a SAS (who obviously has an agenda), Skip or some on here who simply harp on pay every chance & turn as a cause yet fail to really look at what's going on. I don't dismiss individual mistakes from Dak, or when Romo played. I just don't discard failed blocking, poor routes & hands, marginal play, poor off the field decisions, poor/failed roster decisions and creations, poor coaching & scheme, lack of in-game adjustments, bad effort or turnovers by others too for dismissal, just to sooth and pin all on one. It's not that hard. Dak has to be PERFECT and FLAWLESS, and it still wouldn't be enough to salvage the mess on the field and I'd be viewed as a Dak lover. It's funny.

I respect that opinion and see where you’re coming from. To me though, Prescott didn’t have to be flawless last game. His depleted defense was more than capable of keeping Dallas in the game, but the margin for error with this team is so small because they don’t create turnovers and can’t run the ball, so the QB has to elevate his game, based on his salary and expectations, and he simply hasn’t done that. In contrary, his play has hurt the team this year. The home performances on both sides of the ball are tough for sure, but those are situations where the quarterback has to get into a shootout with the opposing team. Whether it’s fair or not, his salary demands it. It comes with the territory!

So if we had an elite QB, it would solve the defense problems as well? Who knew?

Surely you don't mean the highest paid player in the league. Why he's got so much money now, he may take him a vacation to the Bahamas.

Not speaking of one or the last game......been discussing the overall plight, sole blame for a team's mess. (Dak every week) . Nothing else for him to do but play a perfect & flawless game.

As for pay equating to play.......never hear anyone cry out that a player is outperforming pay, current contract, or rookie contract. (Dak then) It just doesn't happen. I do understand the expectations. (Dak now). That's been my two claims of discussion. All good.,

Dak got further than Romo in the playoffs. With Aikman I said the SB's not regular season. The 2nd SB against Buffalo. They ran continuously with Emmitt. Not throwing with Troy. FACT!! Again.-can't re-write Cowboy history here.....
Troy had a concussion from the 49ers game. He wouldn't have been allowed to even play under today's rules. Troy admits he can't remember anything after the 49ers gave him that concussion.

Yes, they can and yes, they will! The 60 million dollar a yr QB isn't going anywhere, anytime soon, so get used to it! LOL!

Man, we need better EVERYTHING play, let’s just keep it 100
The QB ain’t it
The RBs ain’t it
The Wideouts ain’t it
The Oline ain’t it
The Dline ain’t it
The DBs ain’t it
The safeties ain’t it
The only good thing about the team right now is the kicker…..POINT BLANK!
Don’t put it all on the QB man, sure, he ain’t good, but neither is anything else out there!

It's never one person's fault for a team's failure, but 8 years in and Dak can't throw against zone coverage?
