Some people ***** and whine no matter what, I like this signing, 25 years old, a lot of tread on the tires, has a burst and hits the hole hard.....one year prove it deal and protects Dallas from spending an early draft pick on a running back
Exactly. And his contract lets him be cut or traded if the Cowboys do get a premier back in the draft to pair with Pollard without any cap problems.

He is your Zeke if you don't find one in the draft. Probably a better short runner than him too.

Converted 25 of 27 tries in 2020 for first under 3 yards.

Played big in super bowl.

He is a great signing.
Came up big in Super Bowl when? 2020? He had 12 carries for 61 yards and his longest run was 13 yards....so outside of that 1 carry, he went 11 carries for 48 yards...and Fournette outrushed him in that game and Brady carried TB to the win.

Jones is a classic washed up RB. Probably super cheap and probably doesn't make it through training camp on this roster.
Guarantee this same poster was saying Zeke still got it though....lol

Meh. We've been lucky with UFAs so I'm hoping we bring in a few that can push the envelope which would be a good problem to have.

Why are you so negative all the time?
Did you not read about what he did in short yardage????

It is a role we need to fill if you have Pollard on your team. This is a CYA in case they can't find one in the draft.

I could not love this offseason anymore than I have

Well outside of putting the tag on Pollard..... which he still hasn't signed so there's a chance!

Goodness this couldn't be more true

He's competing for the 3rd/4th RB spot and had 2nd round talent. What the hell is there to whine about.

Using minimal assets at the least important position, while taking a stab at talent should be applauded.

Why he sucks? Stop signing unnecessary players. Draft a rb
Never really met a person that had both expressive aphasia and receptive aphasia. If you're not diagnosed with either of these, your post says otherwise. Validating a reply would be appreciative for most of us well informed posters. Just a thought for future posts!

While I dont hate this move. Everyone here saying that this guy is fast, or hits the hole hard, or making up things to justify it either dont watch games outside of the Cowboys or just dont want to admit there were better options.

I am not crapping on this at all. I understand the need for this pickup 100 percent. But dont lie about the guy to justify it. He isnt fast, nor does he "hit the hole" hard. The last 2 years he looks like a shell of himself anytime he touches the ball. This does give us more options in the draft though so it makes sense.

In a three-year span has become a 2X NFL Champion under two different teams.
Ronald Jones should at least convey an individual player's committment on what to do to contribute to a team's success for this upcoming season.

This is the first move this offseason that I didn't care for.

I just have never seen much explosion or dynamic plays and don't see the point. I was fine with Pollard, Davis, Dowdle (didn't really love this signing although he is a very solid special teams player) and drafting someone.

Seems like a progress stopper move to me. He better be cheap, I haven't seen the terms yet.

This is your short yardage back. Noone of those other guys can do that. We will see what they do in the draft. For me, Bijan and Tank are the ones I see who can do that job in the draft.
