thought I read that with the new CBA, once a player files for reinstatement that a decision has to be made in 60 days. hope that's true and hopefully RG has filed.

This is not a CBA issue. This is a Substance of Abuse issue, which has its own separate policy. The 60 days only relates towards working towards a decision, not reaching a final decision. For instance, Josh Gordon's 2018 reinstatement took 239 days from January 20'th application to August 16th reinstatement. Randy Gregory's, however was 62 days, but he was extremely cooperative and assertive with his paperwork.

The direct wording from Appendix B of the 2020 SoA policy is below:

"All individuals involved in the process will take steps to enable the Commissioner to render a decision within 60 days of the receipt of the application. If conditions are imposed, the Player will agree to comply with those conditions as part of his reinstatement to the status of an active Player."

For those interested, here is the link to the Substance of Abuse policy.

I think we"re finished with any more major signings until the uncertainty over this season is over. Could end up paying over the odds for players to play a reduced season. Could blow all our cap room on signing bonuses for players who wont play until September 2021 - who knows what shape they'll be in etc. Downturn means salary cap could reduce in 2021 or 22 putting us in cap hell.
