***Dallas trades Fasano and Akin to Miami for 4th round pick (#100)

The only saving grace is if this pick is used to get Roy Williams.

Think of it this way, Vince Papale could walk to Miami and start for that 1 win team.

You and I could start for that team.

They got a lousy starter and a draft mistake.

:laugh2: :laugh2:

1: I guess the staff really believes in Tony Curtis. I think he will easily surpass Anthony in the passing game but he's not nearly the blocker that Anthony was and I think that's going to hurt.

2: I don't understand trading them both for just a 4th. I guess maybe I'm valuing players too high but it seems like they could have gotten more than a simple 4th.

That is not going to be the case by the end of the draft. I bet they get some quality guys to go with what they had and brought in.

the group in that front office know how to make winners out of losers, all they need is the ammo. they have it.

It's two players that will start for them. Who cares if they're backups for us? They're STARTERS FOR THEM. For a 4th rounder. Wow.

Amazingly stupid. This offseason we begin the slow (quick?) downward slide into mediocrity. Again.

Don't spose that means we'll see less you you?:p:

Another annoying thing here is that every deal we've made so far, or acquisition is questionable. We have yet to get a player that we know for sure, makes us a better team. Zach is old and injury prone, Pacman may not even be reinstated and we don't know how effective he'll be with a year off, we traded away depth at NT, we have yet to sign any of our FA's to long term deals.

We have added more question marks than answers.

Bell is more likely i would guess. I know one thing, we take Mayo with #22 and we'd have to put half the site on suicide watch. :p:

That's true, but they won't once they see how much the defense improves once you build the strength up the middle. Honestly, when I watched the Giants play us, they ran up the middle on us with a lot of success. Not huge junks but first downs. That killed us.

Very true... this would rival the Skins offer. A first (a little lower then the Skins pick depending on which one you give up) and the highest third available!

If I want to go... I hop on a plane and show up at the stadium.

I do think we are taking him wayyyyyyy before pick #10 though :D

Yeah, you really have been craby lately Theo. :laugh2:

Dallas now has 6 of the first 126 picks in the draft. 126 also happens to be the halfway point in the draft. I'll take 6 picks in the first half of the draft anyday.

Zach is old...however he has not missed many games until last year so not sure the injury prone tag is fair.

We did sign some of our own players this offseason, maybe you forgot.

As far as pacman, you are right, we just don't know.

NT we have depth, we played the whole year without fergy and something tells me they have a couple of NT candidates for the draft in mind.

I am not saying this is a good or bad trade.

We were shopping Akin from what I understand for some time now. Fasano was a pick that we should not have made at the time because the two TE set was dropped quickly afterwards.

Two players for a 4th seems a bit much to me, but I am not going to cry over spilt milk. We have Curtis and Hannah to backup Witten. We could draft another TE or we could possibly be thinking of drafting someone like Hillis or Schmitt to be a backup to both the TE and FB spots in an H back role.

Or we could be getting that pick to help trade for a higher pick or a possible vet WR.

It is what it is. Not going to whine about it.

Anthony single handedly cost us a game because he completely wiffed on a block, forcing Romo to eat a sack while he had TO wide opened running down the field.

I remember several of those wiffs actually.
