I thought Curtis looked like the better player last year and figured Fasano would get moved.

But I thought they'd get a 3rd for Fasano alone.

well w/o new englands 1st round pick and miami being the 1st pick in the 4th, you could consider it the last 3rd round pick.

This is a cap saving move with Akin and also lets them get rid of one of Parcell's worst picks. I have a feeling Barber is about to be signed. Also, pick #100 is going to be nice to have on Sunday. I very happy Akin is gone. He played like he didn't give a crap last year. LB and TE are now mid round possibilities now.

On the new chart that is floating around (adjusting for the high cost of top picks), that would equal 1802 points, which lands right between the value of #3 and #4 overall (1825 and 1750).

Hopefully this means that the team has warmed up to Carpenter and not to Zach Thomas; he is slow, old and a walking concussion waiting to happen.

And for all those talking about how Fasano and Ayodele, really we traded away a 2nd round pick that it took to get Fasano in the first place, so really its not such a great deal.
