Esentially, we got a 6th and 4th rounder and Zach Thomas, for Jason Ferguson, Akin Ayodele, Anthony Fasano, and Keith Davis.

I hope your not one of those "selective memory" people. Fasano played well for us. He'll be a starter, and likely a decent one, at Miami.

Fasano is JAG. Parcells got cute, he could've gotten Fasano talent in the 4th.

No, he couldn't. Fasano was a top TE coming out of college. You don't get those in the fourth round very often.




All that being said, I'm hoping Curtis blows up this year.

Hopefully this means that the team has warmed up to Carpenter and not to Zach Thomas; he is slow, old and a walking concussion waiting to happen.

And for all those talking about how Fasano and Ayodele, really we traded away a 2nd round pick that it took to get Fasano in the first place, so really its not such a great deal.

Maybe it is a good deal,in that we recoup something for what was originally a bad deal....Otherwise,we get nothing for Fasano,now or in the future. Yes,it was a bad pick by Parcells.

The guy was solid, nothing more nothing less. We have Witten, we don't need to stock pile TEs.

And BTW, Parcells mentioned he was going to the 2 TE set, I never saw that really.

no. i was basing it off fasano's 1.

curtis is fine for what we need in a TE. it's not like witten has a threat out there to unseat him. i'm not saying curtis is better than fasano. do we really know much about either to get into a whizzing contest over them?

no.

curtis is a better blocker than fasano. that's what i'm basing it off of in the end. we need that badly and it's value gets lost in the glitter.

Well, this is a good move, imo.

as long as everyone understands that Fasano may very well become a good te in this league. He has talent and he is certainly going to get his opportunity.

Having said that, he wasn't going to play here and Curtis really showed some great stuff last year. He should be fine in the backup role.


Also, that pick at the top of the 4th is extremely valuable. I won't be surprised to see us trade down with that pick for multiple picks.
