Phoenix, sometimes your posts are right on the money. This time, you missed the mark completely. Not sure where you were going with this one, I just don't get it.

Alright S22 ...this break down is for you.

The stats snapshot was nothing more than a visual to denote that on an average 4 years, the 49ers are no pushover team. Seems as though too many are taking them for granted without giving them any chance of beating the Cowboys -- almost the same approach used going Into the Commanders game.

Honestly didn't mean anything outside of that. But plenty took it into the next dimension.

Good hunting S22

So what does it mean -- you're probably saying nothing ...but if you look real hard, you'll see two teams that really look pretty evenly matched. Sure, I know the numbers don't tell the whole story, but it does say that this should prove to be one hellava game!

Good Hunting.

I don't know you to well but I've lost any respect I might have had. This is truly a lame post... could be a close game but 2005 is a completely different year.

=summerisfunner]how does a fan of a team notch nearly 1,300 posts in the forum of an opposing team

Depends on who you ask the questios to. Now if you had asked me, I would have told you that I survived through most of the Cowboys season last year with many of fans that are staunch COwboy fans -- some are gone. But the bottom line is that those fans (perhaps ot like you) understand that there is football beyond "your team" versus "my team!" There's plenty of chatter to go around. Well, looks like you haven't quite gotten started yet!
...and like his post, not sure what to think

That's the best part about any Poster -- regardless of their affiliation -- keep them thinking!

Someone's got "slaining" to do:rolleyes:

If you are referring to NFL Championships, your numbers are skewered ...should read

Eagles ...3

Dallas ...0

Not to dog-pile, but were you even alive when the Eagles won their last championship?

And by the way...another math project for you. Do a complete history of both Dallas and the Eagles. What are the total win-loss-tie records and then calculate the number of years it would take the Eagles to catch the Cowboys in the number of wins if the Eagles won an avarage of 10 games a year.

If you were alive when the Eagles won their last championship, would you still be alive if the Eagles could catch the Cowboys in number of wins?

By the way...For an Eagle fan, you are an alright guy.

PT, We really don't need your useless stats.... Things change from year to year.... What matters is what happens this Sunday. All the stats in the world will not change the outcome.

Why don't you do something useful like going out and finding "stats" on Michael Haddix, former player for the eagles......

Given the fact that 2003 was the year that both teams started jettisoning players, your numbers are meaningless.

One team has changed personnel for the better, one for the worse. I'll leave you to figure out which is which. You can look at the Eagles' offense if you need a clue.

Gentlemen, gentlemen ...no need to concern yourselves about whether those stats are Meaningless or not. This is all about beating an inferior team ...right?
I was Merely trying to show you that the 9ers are not the scrub team everyone portrays them to be.

So, Sunday will tell the story. I'll say the COwboys will be victorious (did someone say "upset?")

And why ain't a team of no names who are coming off 2-14 not scrubs? Becuse they were good 4 years ago, when they had different starters and coaches? What is the difference between the niners 4 years ago and any other team, besides the uniforms?

Justis, you were doing alright up to the ..."What is the difference between the niners 4 years ago and any other team, besides the uniforms?" comment.

Read that both critically and carefully to see if that what you are really trying to relay.

No, but that doesn't change history

If you were alive when the Eagles won their last championship, would you still be alive if the Eagles could catch the Cowboys in number of wins?

Here's the point ...The Eagles have 3 NFL (pre-Lombardi Trophy) Championships. While the Cowboys have 5 Lombardi Trophies, they will never be abble to obtain the now historic NFL Championship (pre-Lombardi). Perhaps an overlooked detail that many fans (some not COwboy fans) seem to neglect to observe.

By the way...For an Eagle fan, you are an alright guy

I appreciate your knid gesture sir. You know, because with me, it's Never personal ...it's supposed to be fun!

It still doesnt make sense. Since we've basically been a scrub team the last few years how could the Niners not be one also since as you point out.. the stats are pretty close.

Also, if the Niners arent a scrub team as of right now, how many points would you have hung on them last week if they were? 70?

Admit it dude.. all you're trying to say is you spanked em by 40 last week and if we dont similarly dominate them it just shows that we still arent anywhere near as good as you guys.

Right?

You need to take the two divisions in to account...

agreed. The NFC East is a not an easy place to win. Hey good game last week guys. Seriously. It was a damn good game. Just like all the previouse ones against you guys. I have much respect for your team and I am sure you will beat the 49rs and we will see you in Wasington for game two.

You had to know the type of reaction this post would incite. Comparing the 49ers to the Cowboys and trying to draw a "parallel" conveniently right after a heartbreaker loss to the Foreskins.

Maybe you aren't an idiot, but you are an instigator. Whatever floats your boat, I guess.

Are you aware that the Cowboys franchise was in existence for only the last of the Eagles' championships? And that they had exactly 10 years to win the old NFL championship before the NFL-AFL merger?

Meanwhile, the Eagles have had 39 chances to win a Superbowl.

Which is the greater measure of futility? I'd say 0-10 for an expansion team (which managed three CG appearances in those 10 years) is a far less futile record than 0-39 by a team in existence since well before the inception of the Superbowl.

Incidentally, many would agree that the NFL championship was easier to win than a Superbowl. There were only ten teams in 1948 and 1949 and 13 in 1960.

If this is your attitude about the numbers you posted, you were either trolling or devoid of logic.

Let me save you some time ...Dallas Looked better than the 49ers last year. But from a macro perspective, both teams look very close -- almost parallel.

I'm quite sure that you're praying this means something...

For a fact, you're at least hoping this means something...

Because the alternative is, we're better....and getting better....

Which an Eagles fan surely can not tolerate.

Makes me happy just to know you posted this information. It means we're on your mind.....

You have a fear!
