You couldn't possibly understand more about statistics than I do. I use statistics in my everday life.

Then you alreay know that subjectivity skewer your assessment and the numbers become non representative of the facts. I never liked bringing what I do into a fun message board just to quanlify a point -- I think research is a core course in most academic installations of higher education. Would you not agree?

Look, alright, you know more about stats than I do because you use then everyday in your job -- I'll respect that. Let's see what happens Sunday as you play the 9ers -- should be an easy win based on your professional assessment.

Good hunting.

But if I use an Eagles "championship" mentality, it would be 5 championships.
Therefore including the pre-SB era with wins in '37 and '42.

I stand corrected and I acknowledge all of your accomplishments.

you wasted time color coding and putting up some of the most useless stats i've ever seen. Then you end your ******** post with "Good Hunting."

you're such an idiot...I want to unload a deuce on your face.

My first instinct was ...Bring it! But as I looked at your post closer, I realized that your post doesn't even related to football -- actually it's border line criminal element.

I'll leave you totally alone for sure.

Man I know that you've probably heard this, but these are terrible statistics. the records and other statistics have no correlation from year to year. In such a transient NFL year to year statistics are hard enough to consistently be effective. Bringing up these teams records from 4 years ago is as germane as bringing up 70's and 90's Cowboy records. These teams, aside from the uniforms, are entirely different in personnel and scheme. It isn't that there isn't any chance that these guys can upset, but clearly if they can allow a team to score 42 poinst on them, they aren't exactly the kinda team that are going to win a lot of games. The Cowboys however seem to be giving all the signs (the Skins' game not withstanding).

It was you who decided to tutor me on the meaning of numbers. Forgive me for trying to offer some credibility.

This is obviously what you were fishing for. FWIW, I have never argued anything about the outcome of the game, merely that your use of numbers was in error. I will restrict my "professional assessment" to that point alone.

"I'd give you credit for being disingenuous, but the evidence is mounting to the contrary" ...you said it!

The difference is it actually made sense when I said it.

Kily, if you don't believe comparing the Cowboys to the 9ers; or any team you're about to play, is a healthy exercise that's your business, think what
you don't want. But if you don't believe that the Cowboys coaching staff watch film on the 9ers, and if you don't believe they discuss comparisons, and if you don't believe they do "chalk-talk," then you don't know football.

Uh, I didn't say anything about watching film. You don't have to compare two teams to each other to have a discussion about them. The simple fact is, the 49ers don't compare to the Cowboys. We're ten times the team they will ever be. You know your post was baseless and stupid, and now you're backpedaling. Don't try to revise history.

The 12-4 and 10-6 records of the 49ers reflect years in which a journeyman QB saved them from continuing to experience the 6-10 and 3-13 Hell they went through the years before. He only delayed the inevitable. 7-9 is what any team can be regardless of talent, while 2-14 represents the bottom falling out.

During the three 5-11 seasons before Parcells arrived, the Cowboys were terrible. Since then, Dallas has become a changed team with a focus and a direction. San Francisco is fighting for basic respectibility-- this is a major difference. Still, while Dallas should be favored, San Fran can easily win-- this is the NFL after all and they are at home.

Here's another non-football related post for you:

Not only are you a pathetic analyzer of stats, but your grammar is just flat out terrible.

In fact, here's a stat for you; I have compiled a total of 2 posts...those two posts coming in this thread. Why you ask? Because your stat analysis of this upcoming game was so putrid that I had to respond. I mean, if these are the stats that you look at to come to some sort of conclusion about a game...I'd love to see how you'd do at sports betting.

Aren't you even curious to know why no one (not even fans from your team) has welcomed you to the message board? Your first two posts were spent flaming names without provocation.

In more than 1,000 posts Here on this MB I thnk you are the first that I don't wish to discuss anything with again. For what It's worth, I guess you could say I'm banning you from my official response list!

Ok, I'm gonna leave you with this. If you think win/loss records or even points for/points against over the past 4 years have any effect on the outcome of a game, then you my friend, are a complete moron.

By the post that you started and dedicated this thread to; I got that exact implication.

Here's a homework assignment for you, go take those exact stats from the past 5 years for both the Greenbay Packers and the Cleveland Browns. Then tell me (by your method of stat analysis) who should've won that game last week?
