I was worried against GB....and rightly so.

This game....not so much.

The Skins always play us tough....tougher than probably any other opponent they play all year....but this time it won't matter. They're going t be facing a pissed off Cowboys team next week, and the Skins just climaxed against the Falcons. This week will be a huge let down for Skins fans, whom are taking the win against the Falcons as a sign of things to come. It's not.

34-10 Cowboys.

Falcons win?

You mean we are 4-5?

I must have missed that :)

close, hard fought game in the first half...Dallas wins without a lot of drama in 2nd half.

Cowboys 27
Commanders 17

Miles will go nuts against that secondary. 9 routes all day. They couldn't cover it when they played Denver. Hopefully we will continue to expose Laundry, or Landry.

Anything less than a complete and total beatdown of our next two opponents should be a cause for concern, given what just happened in GB

i feel it could go either way.we got banged up and lost 2 unheralded players whose backups are unproven at best.we face another team which is in desperation mode.It might be another defensive struggle and the skins play pretty good defense. If we have more than 1 turnover then we lose.

Miles will go nuts against the #1 pass defense?

The Commanders schedule has been a complete joke thus far. Only 3 of their 9 games have been against a team with anything resembling a decent passing attack. The other 6 are all in the bottom 10 in the league in passing

Be thankful Washington has those 3 wins now, because outside of possibly Oakland you won't have another game that is within single digits. 4-12 for a team that most on ES were predicting to win 9-11 games. Ouch.

So what's Dallas's excuse? We've played seven common opponents, but we've given up 600 fewer yards through the air. A weak schedule definitely has played its part, but it's not the whole reason we are doing well against the pass.

Edit: I should add that I think YPA is a better stat than overall passing yards, but just pointing out that Miles Freaking Austin is not going to run right by us.

LOL! When your behind in 90% of your games is the other team going to pass or RUN the ball to RUN out the clock? Have pride in that #1 pass defense because that's all the pride you can possibly have for a joke of a franchise.

We don't need excuses, we're 6-3 and probably going to win the division. You'll be picking in the top 10 come April...again

Way to change the argument once you lost the original one.

Miles Austin is better than any receiver on your roster. Yes, that includes Santana "I like to beat my children" Moss.

You guys do have the queer H-Back, I'll give you that. Too bad he's playing the part of the gimp the rest of this season.

Dallas' uncommon opponents? Green Bay and Seattle, the 10th and 11th best passing offenses in the league.

Washington's two uncommon opponents? St. Louis and Oakland, the 24th and 31st ranked passing offenses

The difference in yards per game combined between our uncommon opponents and yours? Just under 200

We haven't played Oakland yet. Here are our common opponents so far and the passing statistics for those teams against our respective defenses.

Giants: Wash 248 (net) yards, 8.3 YPA (including sacks). Dal 330 yards 8.7 YPA
Bucs: Wash 100 yards, 4.0 YPA. Dal 276 yards 7.6 YPA
Panthers: Wash 162 yards, 5.8 YPA. Dal 198 yards, 5.5 YPA.
Chiefs: Wash 158 yards, 4.4 YPA. Dal 232 yards, 5.2 YPA.
Eagles: Wash 140 yards, 4.8 YPA. Dal 209 yards, 6.3 YPA.
Falcons: Wash 125 yards, 4.6 YPA. Dal 174 yards, 4.5 YPA
Broncos: Wash 185 yards, 5.4 YPA. Dal 221 yards, 6.9 YPA

I understand the argument about running when you have the lead, but really only Carolina and Atlanta changed their game plan when they were ahead. Moreover, it doesn't explain the difference in YPA.

The OP projects 30 rushes? Usually I'd laugh but I have a strong feeling Garrett is going to try and prove that he doesn't bail on the run and run a lot more than he normally wants to.

Washington almost always plays Dallas tough, and the scoreboard usually reflects that. When Dallas won the Super Bowl in 95' going 12-4, we still got swept by the Skins. On the other hand, when we were 1-15 in 89' we still found a way to win at Washington. Very, close game but I give the edge to Dallas being at home.

Dallas 21, Washington 17
