I'm not sure what the point is, because I am not trying to account for those claiming this backup -- any backup -- was going to maintain this scoring pace. It really doesn't matter because I don't subscribe to the Skip Bayless school of shock value as some of our fans apparently do. If your endgame is to spike the football on those people, I would say, congratulations! Not sure what it means, but okay.
Further, if the barometer for improvement is rallying to forge a four-point halftime lead against an 0-4 team then this franchise is in deep trouble, regardless who's under center.
