CD will be his most trusted wr this season.

We'd better hope Schultz isn't the 1 option in Daks mind.

Whoever is the tight end is his most trusted receiver. Dak prefers throws to tight ends much more than receivers.

That’s not true but you’re another one with a Dak agenda. CeeDee led the team last season with 120 targets and Schultz was tied with Cooper with 104 targets and Cooper missed two games. With Gallup out for the first part of the 2022 season and everyone doubling up on CeeDee, Dak will be targeting Schultz a lot this season.

Tight ends are referred to as security blankets for a reason. When the quarterback is in trouble it's easier for him to make a shorter throw. In this case both quarterback and tight end did what was expected and the play was successful, I wouldn't read any more into than that.

Both guys working to extend the play.

Yet, for some strange reason his receivers have more catches and yards than his tight ends since 2016…I think you are thinking about Mahomes.

Scramble drill. QB runs right you run with him so he's not trying to throw back and across his body. This is not a sign of genius; it's basic competence.
That exactly what I was thinking but wanted someone else to say it first lol.

This isn't some extraordinary Schultz skill.

The idea that he is his "most trusted receiver" is more of an indictment of Prescott than an endorsement to Schultz.

But, fantasy football is how many internet GMs figure on things. Point per catch!!

Nothing against Schultz he is every thing they want in a receiving TE but much of this comes from how they use the position. The TE isn't the focal point most of the time, he's the safety valve designed to give the QB a safe 1 on 1 target.

This is why some fans don't understand why the loss of Cooper is that not that big a deal. A few years ago before Shultz and Ceedee became Dak's favorite weapons, Cooper was a necessity. But not anymore.

Ceedee, Shultz, Gallup are 3 great top 3 weapons in the passing game. Then you add in Tolbert and Washington and Pollard and Zeke. We also have the rookie Ferguson who at first glance looks like another Shultz type as a pass catcher.

Plenty of weapons in the passing game. 22 million for Cooper was much better served at another position of need. And then that extra 5th is at least something.

Not true as Ceedee was the #1 receiver in targets by far and also receptions.

Perfect throw by Dak on the run avoiding pressure to his TE for 30 yards.

And of course the Dak tards have an issue with it. LOL

Targets mean he threw more not that he trusts him more. The TE is open much more often and is generally an easy guy to find when things break down
The WR is gonna get more players called where he’s the first read so he likely will get more targets

Get off the stats page and watch the games. Amari complained about this quite a bit. Garbage stat time never tells the story.

Actually its more garbage posts from you. Did Dak throwing a perfect pass on the run avoiding pressure get your blood boiling? LOL

Poor guy. Maybe the Cowboys will suck this year and you can jump with glee and cheer for more losing.

I do not want to pay Schultz top TE money, I am hoping our draft pick can replace him and we can let Schultz walk after this upcoming season.
