I was just being funny, certainly you could tell that?
I was shot at twice before even leaving high school. Once shagging balls pre-game in center with a black player, Skip Frazier. Two shots that hit the fence just behind us and sent us to the ground...

The Falcons seemingly aren't shopping Patterson, but the four-time All-Pro might be viewed as expendable after the team drafted Bijan Robinson eighth overall last month to strengthen its already-prolific rushing attack.

Patterson admittedly offers versatility as a pass-catching back and part-time return specialist, but Allgeier and Robinson are clearly the future in Atlanta.

Losing Patterson would hurt, but the Falcons would have two potential RB1s and a developing RB3 in Huntley to fill the void. Further, they'd save $4.25 million against the cap this year and $1.25 million next year by trading the veteran after June 1.

Again, it's harder to pinpoint reasons why Atlanta shouldn't trade Patterson relative to why they should.

From the Cowboys perspective, what's not to like? Though 32 years old, it wasn't until two seasons ago that Patterson transitioned from a full-time return specialist to a hybrid running back, so he has little wear on his tires. At 6-foot-2 and 220 pounds, Patterson is a mauler both between the tackles and in the open field.

I'd definitely see what the price is on Cook...it is probably higher than we want but I think he would be a huge addition. Patterson for a lesser price would be interesting as well...our version of Deebo.

Vaughn meeting up with Barry Sanders

“This dude right there is the reason I play this game,” Vaughn said in the video. “He’s the reason I work so hard. This is huge.”

It's easy to see why Vaughn looks to Sanders for motivation. At 5-foot-8 and barely scratching 200 pounds, Sanders wasn't a physically imposing back and went on to become one of the greatest players in NFL history.

Sanders won four rushing titles and is one of a handful of running backs to win an MVP. He twice was the league's Offensive Player of the Year and is the league's fourth all-time leading rusher with 15,269 yards despite retiring after 10 seasons at the age of 31.

In his final season in 1998, Sanders rushed for 1,491 yards. It's widely believed that Sanders would have retired as the NFL's all-time rushing leader -- a title currently held by Emmitt Smith -- had he played into his mid-30s.

I doubt it but sports illustrated suggested we’re interested.

Jiminey!
Why does it suddenly make sense to ignore a WR blue chipper like Hopkins and court RB Cook who might want most of our cap money? Pollard makes 10 mil a year.
Besides, Cook would consider Miami his homecoming where he has lots of friends chaps.

I wonder if the haters will call him out like they did when Dak met with Hasselbeck?

Already entering the NFL with a chip on his shoulder after a wide contingent of draft analysts expected him to go undrafted, Vaughn receiving a signed Sanders jersey likely gives him added incentive to prove the doubters wrong.

Maybe so, but the kid already has an autographed Barry Sanders jersey! :muttley:

Because Hopkins isn't a blue chipper. This is 2023 not 2020.

No one is ignoring Hopkins. He is overrated and the teams know it.
I dunna believe Hopkins is overrated.
With Cook we'd be back in Zeke cap hell, so why go back to tha unless it's a one-year deal?
