I was asking about Wilson at LB. LOL.

Lol! I saw that Carr was the subject of the previous posts and assumed you were referring to him :(

Sorry bud, but enjoy that assessment of our CBs (I really hope) :)

As for Wilson, I didn't watch him as closely as I should have (and now I'm kicking myself), I would imagine X will have a great breakdown on Wilson.

Sorry, Syd! I am embarrassed and wish I could delete the post now but the time has expired lol

Carr said he would love to play Safety. He's the only CB that I've heard say that.

If he came back on a reasonable contract, I would love to see Carr and Jones as the safeties. You could disguise coverages all game long and wouldn't to worry about blitz packages where a safety was isolated on a WR.

Tackling is an issue like BKnight says, along with the contract, but I have to think our coaches would love to start Carr and Jones at Safety if you had solid CBs to go along with them.

Carr should be re-signed as a CB2 (around 3.5-4 aav) and the team should target a legit SS, imo. If the staff thinks that Church can continue at the level he has played at this year he should be re-signed, then (~2.8aav).

Carr is a very solid CB2. But this is absolutely contingent on Mo as CB1. It's a gamble, but man Mo was looking nice, and Carr balled today.

Our secondary (when healthy) is not our weakness. We need upgrades on DE and MLB first and foremost. One needs to be a splash FA signing, imo.

If we move around our corners we could create new holes there.

Respectfully, Kaiser.

No, I totally agree. I've said for a long time that Carr is a good #2 CB who was miscast (and totally overpaid) as a #1 CB.

I do think Claiborne and Scandrick are better CBs than Carr is, the premise of my post was that those two (or better) would be the CBs if you moved Carr to Safety. The real issue is what it will take to resign him, my impression is that it will be higher than your numbers and he likely gets a better offer somewhere else - but who knows, that is months away.

Nothing wrong with adding athleticism to the SLB. You can teach teach assignment not athleticism.

Don't know how this thread turned into talking about B-Carr, but glad to see him getting some love.

I would absolutely re-sign him next year. With Claiborne and Scandrick having health issues, we need someone steady and reliable on the outside. Hasn't missed a game in his 5 years here and is showing no signs of declining. He's having arguably his best season.
