Bailey was horrible the last couple of years he played.
LolDan Bailey is currently listed as a Free Agent and available to sign. Maher was given numerous opportunities, why not Bailey? Aren't they basically the same age? Get Dan a ring
You are only as good as your last few games. Reality in NFL kickers. If you miss FIVE 33 yard FGs in 2 games you are in trouble.Maher is 90% FG percentage for the season. Bailey's last year was 68%.
Maher is 94% XP percentage for the regular season. 87% if you factor in the playoff game. Bailey's last year was 86%.
Maybe so but the answer isn't bringing in a kicker on short notice who hasn't played in two years and was absolutely awful when he did. Even if you recognize the name. You are only as good as your last few games. Reality in NFL kickers. If you miss FIVE 33 yard FGs in 2 games you are in trouble.
I would have another kicker brought in this week and have them compete. Let see how they do against each other off grass.Maybe so but the answer isn't bringing in a kicker on short notice who hasn't played in two years and was absolutely awful when he did. Even if you recognize the name.
Rather deal with the devil you know at this point of the season... He will be good as he has all year... Glad we didn't replace Dak after the Washington game...Maybe so but the answer isn't bringing in a kicker on short notice who hasn't played in two years and was absolutely awful when he did. Even if you recognize the name.
Yep. Big difference between being available and being game-ready, much less playoff game-ready.He hasn't played in a couple of years and couldn't make 70% of his kicks when he did.
Down by six - gotcha. I didn’t get the last sentence of your post. Please repeat. Not a FG
we were down 6 that was for hail Mary attempt but the ref didn't have any urgency to get there on time. Its on the ref.
yes mahers made them all year b2b 60s in that one game and baily missed 2 payoff FGs in 2014..been sitit g cold you want him??
‘One bad day’…? Failure of epic NFL proportions. FIVE STRAIGHT PATs MISSED!! Never done before in a league nearly a century in existence.I'm glad I was never employed by some of you. Have one bad day at the office and you want to bring in a guy off the street who hasn't worked in years.
There you go with that Anal extraction . Communication by way of the Anal Cavity ! 70% where do you get this stuffHe hasn't played in a couple of years and couldn't make 70% of his kicks when he did.
I don't think you make a kicking change unless Maher is struggling making kicks in practice. But bringing a couple guys in to be ready if needed makes a lot of sense. I don't know how much of a distraction it would actually be. Bones would probably be leading the evaluations for a couple of hours. While I'm not opposed to working out a kicker or two reality is it's already Wednesday. You gonna bring in kickers to workout and create a distraction for your coaches on a short week when they could be doing something constructive for the guys who you know will actually be playing?
Maybe I'm wrong, I just don't get the logistics of making a kicking change in the playoffs on a short week and cant envision any scenario where Brett Maher isnt kicking this week aside from injury.
That wasn't a "bad night." He made history.Maher has been money all year. He has one bad night and everyone completely abandons him. SMH.
