Think they did pretty decent honestly.

1) had to fight off 3 int
2) loss of downs on a horrible no challenge / play
3) 2 drives kept alive by stupid penalties.

The run defense will be the achilles heel eventually like every fn year

yeah def got better the 2nd half except for that one drive.
But also phil formula is get a lead in 1st half and just run the clock in 2nd half, and play defense.
had dallas scored again, I think phil would have went on another drive.

quin needs to work on run defense, and what they did to parsons, as other teams saw that, and now they may do that same thing.
Yep, definitely still need to work on run defense, it's gotten better, but still our Achilles heel. As far as other teams trying to duplicate what they did to Parsons, that's difficult. First they need a fast athletic QB to be able to execute that and it was also evident that Parson's groin injury was still affecting him. He still had good straight line speed, but you could tell he had issues moving side to side and trying that becomes much tougher against a healthy Micah.

Why did our corners allow Jalen Hurts to make those 1 step drops throws by playing soft coverage? Jalen can’t throw the ball deep and we play so far off allowing him to complete underneath passes and let the receivers run after the catch. This soft coverage also negated our pass rush. This was a real head scratcher for me. Hurts didn’t throw at Diggs all night and we can’t take advantage of that either? Philly’s OC successfully schemed Parsons out of the game. I love Dan Quinn, but he got out coached on this one. So I hope he is pissed. That being said two interceptions and a turnover on downs in our own territory had a huge affect on the game.I just expected more from our defense.

Once again in a big game against a good team the Cowboys defense was unable to make critical stops. It’s been a common theme with the defense for years. Once we got within three points of Philly they proceeded to drive up the field for another score. Our defense still can’t stop the run when they need to. We continue to show that we’re a long way from being a championship team.

That's how the defense has always been here. They feast off the bottom feeding offenses with a QB who isn't that good. But when they face good offenses, they never make those plays. Remember, this defense was hyped up early last year as well. They always end up showing their true colors.

Just me, but I think they may have taken the Eagle's offense a little lightly considering what they had done against the Rams and Bengals. The truth is Eagle's offense is just as good, if not better but presents different problems. Although Hurts doesn't have the accuracy of Stafford and Burrow, you still have to account for his running ability on every play and that creates other problems. Notice he came out hitting Brown all over the field until we stopped it but what happened after we took him away, they ran it down our throw. Remember the pressure our front 4 was getting the last few games, but not so against the Eagles coz their OLine is top 5.

The good news is we play them again and I'm 100% confident Quinn will have his guys more tuned in and ready.

You do know both Eagle's WRs are legit top 5, and their TE is top 10 and their OLine is also top, AND Hurts leads all QBs in rushing attempts. In other words, they are not easy offenses to defend. Not a lot of big plays but they consistently gain positive yards. Take away their run, they pass, and take away their pass, they run. In other words, their offense is about as close to the "pick your own poison" phrase as we'll see.

Good news IMO, is we are one of the few teams with the right personnel to stop them, just have to do it.

They can't really do that, though, if there is no RPO threat.

good points, looks like they took diggs out of the game too?
just superior coaching lol.
Dallas just showed up looking to do exactly what they have been doing only pass more. and on defense, guess they thought no one
could deal with their pass rush, but surprise surprise.

The only excuse I’ll make for the defense last night was the turnovers put them in a hole. However what was so discouraging was when we got within three points we allowed Philly to impose their will driving the field mostly on the ground to score a TD. You would’ve thought once we got within three the defense would have stepped up but we wilted.

Yup and all he has to do is pass better than hurts could, and run around on our defense and it's a CLOSE GAME!!

People are seriously underestimating how much that rpo affected our defense. Nobody could go full speed cuz you’re worried about qb pulling it to run or tossing to wr over your head. A traditional drop back offense like the Lions doesn’t scare me 1 bit
