would not be needed had Lewis and Brown not been injured. I don't think any team goes into the season expecting to be down to the bottom of your depth chart where often times you are looking at UDFA or late rd picks.“Good news is we had the most tape on Xavier where we could evaluate him in different spots,” the Cowboys DC told reporters. “Man, can he pick it up fast. I was blown away by football instincts right away.”
It’s always a relief when you find your starting CB 7 days before your Wild Card game.
Imagine addressing this issue in the summer at Oxnard? Nah, too easy. Much more fun to panic buy at positions weeks before the playoffs and have Jerry explain the situation using some weird fable on 105.3 so we feel better about it.
I'm not, Rhodes may not be the same player he once was I don't see him getting fooled as easy giving up big plays down the field. Is anyone else skeptical about throwing Rhodes out there not having seen him play a down here? I have to trust Quinn and McCarthy on this one. One thing about it is the Bucs won't know what to make of him either. You know if Wright or Joseph is out there Brady will just sling it in their direction all night. With Rhodes he may be a little more hesitant.

yeah, even if he lacks the speed, he hopefully has tons of game experience which hopefully helps dial down the tricks and moves the receivers can play on us.I'm not, Rhodes may not be the same player he once was I don't see him getting fooled as easy giving up big plays down the field.
Not like Tampa is filled with speed merchants at WRyeah, even if he lacks the speed, he hopefully has tons of game experience which hopefully helps dial down the tricks and moves the receivers can play on us.
You had Diggs, brown, Lewis, bland as the top 4. How much depth is needed to start the season. My point, and what sailed over your head, was that the depth we carried on the roster wasn’t good enough; and this should have been fairly obvious over summer. Joseph had a horrible offseason and Wright was terrible in preseason. Jerry and Co.‘s insistence to go with them has us scrambling to fill the gaps now. Hooray.
Rhodes is at least a vet who has seen a lot. Even if he’s old and a shell of his former self. We don’t need him for a year just four games. Is anyone else skeptical about throwing Rhodes out there not having seen him play a down here? I have to trust Quinn and McCarthy on this one. I hear your sentiment.2nd and 3rd round picks on Joseph and Wright.
2nd and 3rd round picks on Hill and Gallimore/OO.
Where are we weak?? Wow those two positions!
This is a team that thinks they can afford to build via draft only.
This postseason was lost by the front office last off-season. And they will do it again and grin like they know things no one else does.
I’m not really sure how much longer they are going to be able to sell this act.
…and they were also on the street around Christmas.I hear your sentiment.
but they did trade for Hankins and also signed Hilton/Alexander/Mullen/Rhodes. All four corners are proven NFL vets. This is probably the first year they’ve went this route.
So Joseph in Oxnard wasn't a good 5th or 6th CB depth? Geez.Of course I’m not mentioning Bland because we’re not scrambling to replace Bland.
I’m suggesting Wright and Joseph should have been replaced earlier.
I was unaware you willing put guys on the 53 you know can’t actually see the field. Oddly Buffalo didn’t follow that philosophy, we only got Rhodes because they recently released him.You had Diggs, brown, Lewis, bland as the top 4. How much depth is needed to start the season.
Nope, Bossman was busy driving around with friends shooting guns. Seems pretty obvious his priorities weren’t here. IMOSo Joseph in Oxnard wasn't a good 5th or 6th CB depth? Geez.
And We did not even attempt to take advantage of it, Sad!Look on the hopeful side: Seattle found a postal worker and a grocery bagger to patrol its secondary during the playoff game that featured the infamous bobbled snap by Tony Romo.
Draft only? Hooker, Kearse, Watkins, Barr, Maher, Turpin, Hilton, Fowler, and Peters.2nd and 3rd round picks on Joseph and Wright.
2nd and 3rd round picks on Hill and Gallimore/OO.

crazy its for non-guaranteed 3-5 games not an entire year of not only roster spots but cap money ,do you not understand this, no different then TY, A full season would likely cost more and take roster spot early on and they might get injured with heavy pay time.. now they KNOW what they need and how to accommodate it.That’s true, however this crazy cap thing hasn’t stopped us from signing Alexander, Rhodes, or Mullen.
