That was my one knock on Parcells. He was TOO conservative that game. Romo should have lit that secondary up.
Romo cost them by calling a wr screen backed up in his own endzone that Terry Glenn couldn't handle and Seattle ended up scoring an easy td. Parcells was right keeping Romo on a tight leash and Romo still made a bad decision there.

they did they were short like 3 DTs and then safety and plugged the holes Temporarily like we did. so they didn't lose all their starter for the season like we did, poor luck same scenario they were forced to make a quick roster update with players still out there late in seaosn.no difference whatsoever, NEXT.
This is why I don’t play with my food or make threads.

This is incredible.

Safety starters were Gardner-Johnson and Epps to start the year, Blankenship and Wallace were the backups, ALREADY ON THE ROSTER. Only guy they signed at safety was Anthony Harris who was already there earlier in the year, but got released and went to DEN, got cut there and then came back to their PS. This is completely and utterly not the same.

DT starters are Hargrave and Cox. They never missed a game. Not sure where you’re getting this “3 DT injured” info? Davis only counts as one man.

No free agents, yes Suh and Joseph, were signed to take their snaps away. Philly was smart enough to address their guys behind Davis weren’t good enough as depth players; something I’m saying we should have done in regards to CB but earlier when it became obvious.(preseason?) The difference is when Davis went down and Philly got gashed by Washington, the Eagles FO said “Hey the depth guys can’t play well” and they addressed it. We however said “Hey Joseph and Wright can’t play” and continued to roll the dice with it until December.

My argument is timing. Now we may sing kumbaya.

Did Romo override Parcells' play calling?
Second, I don't remember the play. Even so, that's a dangerous play in that situation anyway.
But that still doesn't mean we don't attack a convenience store clerk and leave him alone the entire game.

My point, and what sailed over your head, was that the depth we carried on the roster wasn’t good enough; and this should have been fairly obvious over summer. Joseph had a horrible offseason and Wright was terrible in preseason. Jerry and Co.‘s insistence to go with them has us scrambling to fill the gaps now. Hooray.
our defense as a whole was as deep and dynamic as it’s been in forever. your point isn’t being missed, it’s being disagreed with

So who plays gunner?
Kelvin leads the team in ST penalties including multiple faircatch interferences, multiple holding calls, unnecessary roughness, blindside block etc

Wright also has multiple infractions on ST

So you think Kelvin won't play gunner on ST?

Is anyone else skeptical about throwing Rhodes out there not having seen him play a down here? I have to trust Quinn and McCarthy on this one. One thing about it is the Bucs won't know what to make of him either. You know if Wright or Joseph is out there Brady will just sling it in their direction all night. With Rhodes he may be a little more hesitant.

I'm sure they have a back up plan.

Have Rhodes cover Jones... they're both older than dirt so it should be about even, lol...
Pretty sure that is the plan.

If our CBs are Diggs and Rhoads and our Nickleback is Bland, it's lights out for the Bucs. Cheers to the front office!

I actually like this lineup myself.

I'd rather have Anthony Brown, but I'll take this savvy veteran any day.

He's good.

He still has some game left in him. Perfect for the matchup against Julio.

In 2007 the Giants beat us in the playoffs with DBs that were on the street a couple weeks earlier because they too were decimated by injuries at the position. Injuries happen. We lost two starting CBs and had a second round pick on the roster that we thought could play if needed. We also had a rookie that impressed the heck out of everyone in the summer and proved to be a capable starter. So, I can’t really fault the team for not addressing the issue in Oxnard because in their mind they were at least 4 or 5 deep. Now at the trade deadline after Lewis was already out amd we knew Joseph stunk, that’s a different story.
That was exactly because their line was too good, Strahan, Osi, Tuck were on a roll, had stout middle with Cofield and another big bodied DT . They coudl subdue the GOAT TB playing undefeated that year.

A good pass rush can hide a weak secondary . But if you give too Much time to QB even with a good secondary you cant stop them

The Cowboys need to have Diggs travel with Mike Evans. He’s played him fairly well in our last two meetings. Then have Bland travel with Godwin. That’s a tall task but Godwin is not 100%. Brady still looks for him a ton on 3rd and shorts. Then you put Rhodes on Julio/ Gage. That’s really our best bet.

cb mullen got burned on a long completion against washington hopefully rhodes can bring something to help this secondary we will soon see some pressure on brady would help matters
Rhodes in a wheelchair might be an upgrade from what we have seen at times over the past few weeks.

Yet we ran all over them and dominated their DL in the first half. I think MBIII had 100 yards at halftime

That’s true, however this crazy cap thing hasn’t stopped us from signing Alexander, Rhodes, or Mullen.
You aren't making any sense. We are signing guys because we HAVE to. We don't have a choice. If Brown and Lewis didn't go out for the year, we wouldn't have spent money.

I wish the cowboys used better resources at the DT position.
We should of signed Suh and Linval Joseph before the Eagles had did.

BTW I love the way Chauncey Golston played vs the Commanders. I would love for him to get some more playing time he played physical.
