I keep waiting for them to upgrade or replace him. They don't seem too worried about it.

I'd be surprised if we were to draft a 1 tech in the first two rounds, anyway. With Bishop developing and Brent extended, my best guess is that position has it's veteran competition, too, unless somebody is available that they just can't pass up on. Can't imagine who that would be, though.

I think we're looking at DEs, and a 3 tech if an alternate deal with Melton can't be reached. Maybe a S someplace, though that probably gets more seriously looked at in the draft.

i been reading alot of stories and rumors about people close to Suh are saying he would preferr to play in CHI DAL or NY. i think that might be his agent trying to get a feel and maybe a team might reach out. Would not cry one bit if Dallas reached out to him

Yes, I understand. But what is happening here is all you guys are thinking about Peterson from the past. He has over 2000 carries in twice the time Murray has been in the league. He fumbles at a greater percentage. He has off field baggage. He hasn't been a leader with this tea.

The real question is do you understand?

So we agree Peterson is a freak? Thanks.

No, we agree he is four years older, has twice the milage on his body, fumbles more, has no chemistry with this team nor has not established himself as a leader here. Glad we agree he isn't for us.

The problem with AP is his suspension isn't over until April, well after the start of FA. If Dallas waits, Murray and the better RB FA are gone, and Minny can hold AP as hostage.

Dan. Did you actually read what I wrote?

Yes it was quite funny.

I see what all you guys are saying, and normally I agree 100%. But I believe Adrian Peterson has just as many good years left as Murray. And he's way more explosive. You guys are writing Peterson off WAY too early a couple years after he ran for 2000 yards, and still last year average 4.5 yards a carry in his "DOWN" year.

He is a physical freak. Defied so much logic over the years. I'm not going to be one of the doubters on this guy. He isn't an average state of the mill RB who disappears after 28.

With all that being said, the only way I roll the dice with him is if we get him for a ridiculously affordable price. I want to resign McClain, Free, Beasley, and Leary well before him.

How can you base a statement he has as many years left as Murray with all the information bandied about which shows RB's decline and do so rapidly? How can you possibly not thinbk this could end like Barbe?

Further, Peterson in the eyes of you and others is his breakaway possiblity.

That is the sizzle and not the steak.

Bring him in for a ridiculously affordable price and let's talk. Otherwise I dance with the one who brung me.

I see the risk with Murray and Peterson as similar. Yes Murray is younger but he has only played 16 games 1 season and the history of RBs with the type of workload he had is not good in following years. The stats of turning 30 vs the stats for being overworked are probably similar.

I just really hope we don't overpay. JJ Watt got 6 years, $100 million. God that's a lot of money for Suh. You know that's what he wants.
