Darnold started the game 9/22 passing. But Seattle's defense kept New England at bay until their offense started clicking.

If Dak started a playoff game 9/22 the Cowboys would have lost by halftime. And the narrative here would write itself.

I was in favor of a full rebuild.

I’ve also never called him an elite quarterback and have consistently put him in the “good” or “above average” category.

What I don’t do is blame every failure of the team in the QB.

I didn’t do it with Romo. Haven’t done it with Dak and likely won’t do it with the next guy, assuming we still have the same incompetent front office.

Darnold is in a unique situation because he is a resident of California and hit an incentive of millions by winning a championship and it hurt worse since it was in his home state. His state tax is based on his prorated salary too. Sure, he took a hit in a perfect storm but still made a fortune in the end.

I have businesses in both Cali and Texas, the red tape tax situation is night and day between the two states. It’s a mess in California really

Thats great but im talking about this year. Do you believe Darnold would have been able to have the same playoff success behind our 21st ranked offensive line and with our 32nd ranked defense?

Ive noticed you brought up all the other seasons Dak has played and thats fair. Now you said outside of the division, Dak is .500. The thing about that is I read that the Dallas Cowboys football team is .500 outside of the division, not just one player.

But if were going to go by that method, then people have to stop giving Matthew Stafford excuses for having a career record of 17-77 vs winning teams.

Now Darnold has played great this season. It baffles my mind that he couldn't elevate the Jets, Panthers, 49ers and Vikings to the Superbowl like he did with Seattle. He was drafted 3rd overall in the first round and was expected to start and win games from day one.

That's all they'd seen, but then all the sudden Dak's averaging 60 million/yr.

So, we need to give John Sneider his credit. He built a physical team with 2, #1 units (defense & special teams) and gambled on Sam Darnold and was right.
