Herschel Walker
I was a big T-New fan, too. But I agree. They're both better than he was. They may both be the best playmaking corners in the league.Just remember folks, Mo Claiborne was said to be the highest graded corner the Cowboys scouting department had ever graded.
Diggs and Bland play with the play-making instincts we so desperately lacked at the CB for eons.
Was a fan of T-New but he wasn’t as good as either one of these dudes.
Gotta give a ton of credit to Al Harris as wellJust remember folks, Mo Claiborne was said to be the highest graded corner the Cowboys scouting department had ever graded.

Next season ,look out!!!!Great rookie year. Sophomore year tied for most Pick 6s in an NFL season. Leads NFL in INTs for 2022-2023 seasons. And still 7 games left! Unbelievable.
Was looking at the draft archives. Thought Jimmy might have drafted someone in the 5th that stood out this much, but no.
Have to go back to 1985 when the Cowboys picked Herschel Walker to find a similar steal, and that really wasn’t a typical draft pick. 1968 Blaine Nye, 1966 Walt Garrison
What a freaking find!
Almost not fair that Diggs is hurt. Best young corner duo in NFL if Diggs can play back to his pre-injury levels. Diggs, Bland and Gilmore. Wow.
Bland is better, because he's very active in run defense. Makes way more tackles. In that regard, he could teach Diggs a thing or two. He's already on the same level in coverage. And he's a more physical player. The hands on that kid are something I tell ya. Everybody knows about Diggs and training with his brother and the receiver like hands and ball hawking Diggs possesses.
If Bland ain't AS good, then he's only a tick below our 90million dollar corner.
That jump of the route, catch and return was at the highest of elite levels today if ya ask me.
kid IS the best 5th rd pick we ever drafted. He rivals and maybe exceeds Diggs talent. Thats saying alot. Hes doing all this without our shut down cb in Diggs.Bland, is special, smart and has the right mindset. He believes that ball is HIS.I had a gut feeling about him when he was drafted.
yep. Special athlete and just a baller. A dawg. This was a Will McClay special. Diamond in the rough. Great draft day steal. He played WR in high school. I believe that factors in.
Not sure who has the all-time Pick 6 record. Deion had *9* in his entire career: the most dangerous CB ever. Bland has 7 already.Great rookie year. Sophomore year tied for most Pick 6s in an NFL season. Leads NFL in INTs for 2022-2023 seasons. And still 7 games left! Unbelievable.

Yep. He's better than Diggs. Makes plays the same way but does it without gambling and guessing as much. And is far more physical.Bland is better, because he's very active in run defense. Makes way more tackles. In that regard, he could teach Diggs a thing or two. He's already on the same level in coverage. And he's a more physical player.

He's signed through 2025. I'd bet that after the game today, somewhere in the caverns of Jerry's mind he's saying, "Uh oh.....wonder if we can draw up one of those quickie extensions for Bland in '25?"- let's face it, Bland is gonna flat out be an All pro THIS very year.
I think club is gonna want Bland to continue in an expanded role where he takes on
BOTH outside and slot guys and on the field on an every down basis. - ala Trevor Diggs
He is still far away from the end of his current rookie contract expiring, and he would be in very high demand
if he were a pending FA.
But at his current playing level, Cowboys would never let him go - and please get ready to ignore anyone
that tells you we cannot sign two highest paid CBs in NFL. We can and we will .
Missed Folk and Donovan. Thanks.Pat Donavan from the 1975 dirty dozen. ?
Yep, rather have Diggs and Bland. Have to go back to Kevin Smith and Primetime before I can think of a comparable duo.Just remember folks, Mo Claiborne was said to be the highest graded corner the Cowboys scouting department had ever graded.

Don't most of these corners though? IN High school you typically play two positions...the receivers who didn't have the best hands typically went to the secondary by college. He played WR in high school. I believe that factors in.
