Bland suffered a chest injury and didn't play in the second half.

Pile that on to yesterday's massacre at the hands of a rookie quarterback in his first game start.

Any word on his status for next week?
this is why MM should have put them in a couple of series and take everyone out. as soon as he saw the team's performance, he should have known. in fact he should have known from the week of practice. so you walk everyoen through the normal weekly process. they go through a couple of series and then make it a pre-season game. get out as healthy as possible. specially since the giants rested their starters and were mailing it in to Eagles

If bland started all year he'd have just under 10 ints or in that area. That's great by any measure. Plus he covers extremely well. Sticky.

If's don't count. Bland has been great, but there's quite a bit of difference between he and Diggs.

In style yes. Agree. Diggs is more of a riverboat gambler db. He will play cat and mouse. That's a dangerous style. Bland is the same all the time, a sticky cover db. Reminds me of Walls but of course he's not close to that yet. I love blands tenacity and belief that every ball should be contested. He was a real find.

Brady won't have to take chances on Diggs. The getting is too good at the other 2 CB spots. Maybe they draw up a shot play or two vs Diggs, but the bulk of targets will go vs the #2 and #3 CBs.
Or simply play a safety over top and put Diggs on the island... not hard to figure.

Very difficult to project numbers like this. Sometimes picks in bunches disappear like farts in the wind.

In respect to Diggs, he can be susceptible to double moves as he frequently is looking to make the big play, but in retrospect, the big play is what made him last year. I would look for TB12 & Evans to have a go at him on at least one stop and go on Monday.

In general, I believe our comments have been a little too critical of late. The Cowboys did manage to win 12 games this year with 2 of the loses coming in overtime. Not bad for a supposed underachieving dumpster fire.
