You really need to stop posting in this thread. It's painful reading this. I almost feel sorry for you.:spanking:

I feel sorry for me-too-ers who miss the whole point of the argument. Art Monk belongs in the HOF.

You really don't read and comprehend do you? I discounted the idea of Monk as ever being the "greatest" WR. Nothing more.

I've said Monk deserves to be in several times.

One more thing, If Rice had been 2 years later and his recpetions and yards stats behind Monk he STILL would have been the greatest WR ever.

No football Coach in NFL History would ever bypass Jerry Rice to take another WR and that was true by his 3rd year in the league. The guy was a marvel from the word go.

No, apparently I'm the only one who stays on the main topic during a debate I start off with (Monk in HOF). That's what I wanted to clear up on what you were arguing about, cause it should be obvious to anyone with the vaguest reading comprehension that I was arguing that Monk belongs in the HOF.

Nice we're in agreement about Monk and Rice. Appreciate the info.

Yeah, sure he did. He used Bledsoe as a simile of Monk as the greatest. Look at his summation above in red.

Yeah, he really believes Bledsoe as the record holder would be the greatest.

No one can be that dense. He was MOCKING with the mention of Bledsoe.

No, he mentioned Bledsoe, and I mocked that reference. :lmao2:I would hope that NOBODY would think that reference was serious, even as tough as it is to be a good QB in the NFL.

Is that a fact? If you look real close this is the title of the thread...

Darrell Green 2008 HOF?

What does Art Monk have to do with Darrell Green going into the HOF? Just this, they were both Commanders. Who brought it up? A Commanders fan in post #9 of this thread. Who was the 2nd to bring it up? Another Commanders fan in post 11.

It isn't until post #13 that a Cowboys fan mentions it. He wonders what could cause Monk not to be in. Post #14 another Cowboys fan wonders why Monk is not in.

It isn't until post #25 that someone doubts Monk should get in. Does he insult Monk? NO, he simply says he felt Gary Clark was the better WR.

Then here you come with post #28 talking about it being a disgrace Monk is not in. You didn't even Mention Darrell Green, the SUBJECT of the thread. So before you pat yourself on the back for staying on topic, don't because you aren't on topic. You got sidetracked off the topic of Darrell Green and posted the URL to a blog site that upon further examination is completely and 100% wrong on Monk's "records."

A guy brought up that blog as a joke and from there you've been wrongly interpreting everything said. One guy doesn't see Monk as a HOFer and even then he wasn't insulting Monk.

I stayed right on topic, that being that you're wrong on Monk as the greatest WR in NFL History and I shot every "record" down and let's be real honest. That's all you had to hang your hat on, Monk's "records." It's sort of too bad he didn't own any of them as you maintained.

Credibility is so fleeting when the premise is flawed.

Dude, you can't be that dense. He mentioned Bledsoe as a simile of Monk being the greatest because of the "records" he actually didn't hold. In other words, he was saying if Bledsoe held all the records he still wouldn't be the best.

Don't believe it? Look up his past opinions of Bledsoe. They were hardly glowing.

Mocking you.
