Question: I know you’ve been breaking down some tape on McFadden. The knock on him has always been that he’s a good straight line runner with some explosiveness but that he’s very stiff and can’t make people miss. Does that concur with what you’ve seen from him in the games you’ve studied?

Sturm: My biggest concern with McFadden these days is that it looks like he has lost his decisiveness. He seems to not go anywhere particularly fast at the moment he gets the ball. This offense needs a RB shot out of a cannon and I fear that he has been ruined by his difficulties in Oakland. That piece will be out soon.

Woe, now (to the bold). I seem to remember our dominant 90s line didn't do much when Emmitt sat out the first two games of the season. And I remember oh, Curvin Richards and Sherman Williams and Derrick Lassic and Blair Thomas and other no names who didn't do much behind those lines.

We definitely couldn't plug and play any running back behind that line. Whether we can plug and play any running back behind this line remains to be seen.

We have those same guys, but now they are our current RBBC.

That's nice, we have a timid RB:facepalm:

When is Ray Rice trying out ?

If he ever ends up on an NFL roster again he'll make news for beating the odds. His reputation is so bad Kathy Lee Gifford refused to share an elevator with him when he stopped by for an interview on the Today show.
