I don't think anyone doubts he can play. Plenty of doubt if he'll suit up for 60% of the games.

Could pretty much use that same statement with any guy that played in Oakland during that stretch including Carson Palmer and Ro McClain.

Oakland has been where careers go to die.

You could be right, but I seriously doubt it.

Im in this camp.

McFadden goes off in Dallas if he stays healthy.

Too big and too fast not to crush it if he can consistently get to the second level of defenses.

Lol just a heads up that he does use foul language while playing :)

Yeah that's pretty much like all gamers. All I do is curse when **** does not go my way in 2k, Madden, and your occasional shooter

Ricky Lumpkin probably isn't exactly an unbiased supporter of McFadden but that's OK. If Darren merely does what his role as a RB calls for, his efforts likely won't have been in vain. He'd be greatly appreciated anyhow.

Yeah, but McFadden hasn't done it in 7 years.

7 years bad luck on a bad team is over then. Now on a good team with the best OL and a better QB, WR. Guess that mirror he broke before the draft, which landed him on the Raiders, the 7 years is over.

Yeah, same. I usually don't curse much at all, but when I'm gaming, I just hope there aren't any children in the area. :)

Yeah, but McFadden hasn't done it in 7 years.

Murray only played 16 games in 1 of 4 seasons.

It will help if McFadden is the #2 RB here.

McFadden's average was 148 carries per season. I'll be fine with it if he gets 148 carries this year. That would leave about 300 carries to be split between the starter and the #3 RB. I can see Randle with 200 and the #3 guy with 100.

Hahaha yeah, I can't help it.

I had to give up Madden for a year or 2. I'll probably get back into it this year with the new one, but I couldn't control my anger with it.

Shooters I mainly get on the headset with my boy and curse people out

Compared to McFadden, Murray may as well be Cal Ripken Jr.

While Murray hasn't missed games at the same frequency as McFadden, they aren't too far apart in that category.

Murray played in 53 out of 64 possible games in his career, that's 82.8%.
McFadden played in 83 out of 112 possible games, which is 74.1%.

It's an 8.7% difference. Not trying to argue that one is more injury prone than the other, just that their numbers aren't too far off.
Interestingly, both played in all 16 games last season, first time each of them has done so.

Thanks for that info, I was not aware of that comparison. Some acting as if McFadden didn't play much at all, including last year. Selective facts being left out on their part to make their biased opinion? LOL.

Games played is misleading when dealing with players who are frequently hurt. Guy gets hurt in the first quarter of a game and then is out for the other 3 quarters, does it really matter that he played? Did he contribute much on the day? In McFadden's case, how many games has he played in where he was questionable all week and after 3 or 4 carries he had to shut it down?

The fact remains, McFadden has 3 more years in the league and only 100 more carries. That's the equivalent of 2 carries per week for 3 full years. That by itself says he gets hurts more often.

Murray had more games with 20+ carries in 2014 than McFadden has in his entire career. Murray has 8 games where he has played and failed to get at least 10 carries, and McFadden has 31.

There's really no comparison between the two. Murray was injured pretty frequently, McFadden was injured all the time.

Even with 2014 being the ONLY year he has ever appeared in 16 games, his number of rushing attempts on the season is still bested by 2 of the years in which he missed time.

It is VERY possible McFadden got fat and happy in Oakland.
How could you get fat and happy in Oakland????
Massive losses each year.
Oakland record since 2009
Wins - 32
Losses - 64
Get the crap kicked out of you week to week????
This is what Oakland spent in 3 round or better Draft picks on their O line since McFadden was drafted up in 2008. The players in Bold are starters.
2010
3. Jared Veldheer, T, Hillsdale
2011
2. Stefen Wisniewski, C, Penn State
3b. Joseph Barksdale, T, LSU
2012
3. Tony Bergstrom, T, Utah
2013
2. Menelik Watson, T, Florida State
2014
3. Gabe Jackson, G, Mississippi State
