Darren Woodson finds out if he gets elected into HOF tonight *Not Elected*

I just don't want to see Eli get in with his first year of eligibility.....but those 2 Lombardis and his last name aren't going to exactly hurt his chances, lol
A travesty for Eli to get in at all. He had a couple of very good playoff runs, but he was a top 10 QB who got to ride some tremendous Dlines to 2 rings.

The only thing of note he ever led the league in was INTs - 3 seasons.

Too many young sports writers who look at stats and not really look at dominance or the fact stats have changed since he played
I agree but this snub goes back a long way,the ones that really ***** up were the writers from the 80s and 90s.

He wasn't even a top 10 QB. He averaged like 17th in passer rating over his career. That's a bottom half of the league QB. His absolute best years were barely where Romo was for his worst.

I'm not getting my hopes up. I feel like we are all going to be disappointed, yet again. The HOF is a joke!! There is clearly a bias against the Cowboys. No way he shouldn't already be in. I still have Woody's jersey.
Woodson's problem (if you will) is that he was good at everything, but not dominant in any one area. Teams stayed away from him, so he didn't get the ints, etc. that some safety on a terrible team who had 20 passes a game thrown at his receiver and could luck into a lot of ints, etc.

Last name and two superbowl victories got him in. Very good, but not HOF imo.

I hope he gets in too, he deserves it. However, when you look at the finalist list it's hard to argue about most of those guys not getting in.

I almost want Eli to get in, just so I have a go-to for "worst HOF player ever" in sports-bar arguments.

They better make that call to Woody letting him know he's going in, and stop playing.

Compared to Woody: LeRoy Butler...trash, John Lynch...trash (BubbaDub voice). 3 SBs c'mon now.

It's his 3rd year as a finalist but without the hardware it's still iffy.

Never a bad time for Woody to get in....please share your thoughts
