In Cliffs defense, he was on the 70's all-decade team and it took him 40 years to get into the HOF.

That is pretty much the pattern for all of those players of the 70's except for the slam dunks like Roger and Lilly.

That's how the cookie crumble sometimes. One of them had a severe injury and the other two play a position that's arguably the hardest of the main positions to get enshrined. It's no knock on the Great Wall they were great

It's amazing that they won 3 Super Bowls with only 3 HOF worthy players responsible for those 3 wins. Plus 1 HOF who won one Super Bowl.

or maybe its ****** bias from the voters.

That's literally the exact same thing the patriots did. Won 3 Superbowl's in 4 years with only 3 of those players making Canton (Law and Seymour are in and Brady will be the 3rd). Chiefs are trying to win 3 straight superbowls this Sunday and they only have 3 HOF worthy players (Kelce, Mahomes, Chris Jones)

That's not uncommon. Building a deep playoff caliber team is often a lot of very good players and few holes.

Meanwhile you look at the 1971 Cowboys team and there are Staubach, Rayfield Wright, Bob Hayes and Mike Ditka on offense.
On defense you have Bob Lilly, Chuck Howley, Mel Renfro, Herb Adderly and Cliff Harris

9 HOF players.


and several others like John Niland, Lee Roy Jordan, Jethro Pugh, George Andrie, Cornell Greene and more that frankly shuld be in.

The 70s era Steelers that won 3 in the decade had like 10 hall of famers in that Dallas Vs Pittsburgh Superbowl

The talent disparity was more rampant in the league back then for sure

Knowing who people voted for would make a huge difference. If we know who didn't vote for Woody we could ask them why.

End result: difference of opinion. Just like now. The only thing different is that you'd get to label every specific voter who didn't vote for a Cowboy as a Cowboys hater versus just your blanket statement that all voters are Cowboys haters because you didn't see who actually voted for a Cowboy or not. Regarding AI, even if that was used to pick players, 'spiracy folk would say that the computer was programmed to have anti-Cowboy bias, lol. You know how this goes, don't you? Lol.
