A field of 94 nominees for the Pro Football Hall of Fame's Class of 2017 was condensed to 26 candidates on Wednesday during NFL Network's Gold Jacket Semifinalists special.

The 26 semifinalists will be trimmed to 15 finalists in early January. The current group includes 15 offensive stars, eight defensive stalwarts, two coaches and one kicker.

Among the first-year eligibles, former San Diego Chargers running back (and current NFL Network analyst) LaDainian Tomlinson is the headliner.

Woodson's legend has grown in retirement. I doubt he, Jimmy and TO make it. But it would be great if they did.

To me Woody had more impact on the game than either Cliff Harris or Charlie Waters, who were great players in their own right.

Woodson is pretty overrated by Cowboy fans. I've said that for years. People act like he was a top 10 all time safety or something. Dawkins was easily better

It would really be fun to see JJ and JJ give each others induction speeches.

I think it's legit to consider his tearing apart of multiple locker rooms a demerit on his record.
The problem is they let Lawrence Taylor in so nothing but stats should ever count....which I don't necessarily agree with...

Woody should be a lock.

I don't see Woody ever getting in, not many safeties in the HOF. Great player for the Cowboys but it took years just for him to get in the teams ROH.

Couldn't agree more

Jimmy built a dynasty in Dallas from the ground up. The Cowboys went from one of the top 10 worst teams ever in 1989 to one of the top 10 greatest teams ever in 1992. Dungy is a nice guy but looking at his coaching career I never saw him as a HOF head coach. Can't have him in the HOF and not Jimmy.
