Honestly I hope to God he blows up. Even with Irving out the first 4 games I still like the young players we have. Lawrence will be much better this year tho, his first back surgery just was an epic failure. Jerry pretty much said this a few weeks before he came back from his suspension last year, "he's just not right' he said. Money talks too so there's a big reason think he's going to perform

You need to realize that every NFL team deals with this at some time or another. It's just not that unusual anymore. It's not
like most of these athletes are PHD's. They plays sports for a living for a reason, right? If you want a winning team, you have to
have the best athletes and you just hope most are smart enough to stay out of trouble and collect these great salaries.

Has NE had players who would be expected to start or be significant contributors be suspended for 4 consecutive years?

Thirdly before you get too giddy pointing out how many games we won last year, starting from 2007 remind yourself of our record in the years after we’ve been to the playoffs.

This latest suspension is symptomatic of our poorly run front office.

We need all the help we can get and not have two or more players suspended for part or all of a season every season.

Why get rid of him?

He doesn't count towards a roster spot while suspended, nor does his salary count while suspended.

If this is true, and yeah it sucks for a month, but it just made his next contract less expensive.

I was merely stating a fact for those unaware that the supplement industry is completely unregulated, and the only way to know for sure what's in them is to have them sent to a lab for testing.

I agree but then that even makes it more critical for players to consult with team before taking it.

This. It's not important how many games he plays; what is important is what he does with the opportunities given and how he impacts the games he does play.
