Lost in the win is the return of David Irving.

Irving is probably the best DT in the league on a per play basis. Hopefully he is in shape.

I guess we can enjoy him for his yearly 8 games

I nearly forgot about him. This defensive line could've used him today. I think this pass rush will have a chance to even get better.

People were never realistic about Gregory.

For one he has no experience.
He got suspended before he could even get any.
He took nearly 2 years off from football.

There was no way he was going to come in and be Demarcus Ware or Charles Haley.

What he's shown thus far is what we should've expected.

In physical shape but hasn't played actual football, even in practice, all through the offseason.

Agree...

Not sure what happened to him. He looked so fresh in the pre-season. And now he's got dead legs. He isn't beating one on one...nor is he getting off w/ any burst. He looks disinterested already. You would think a guy that hasn't played in 2 years would be fired up. I'm wondering if he isn't on some meds like Clozapine (Clozaril)...that is suppressing his mood.

Crawford and Smith both got in on some of it, and technically, Smith and Tank should have shared a sack

Let's see what sort of shape he's in. Normally, I wouldn't be concerned about it, but he missed all of camp, too, and looked out of shape when he did show up.

Since both Woods and Collins are banged up, I wonder who gets cut to make room for Irving?

I would keep Caraun Reid since we don't know if Irving is in playing shape.
