David Irving to miss 4-6 weeks

Cowboys DL David Irving (ankle) is expected to miss 4-6 weeks.

This confirms he's dealing with a high-ankle sprain. It's been a lost year for Irving, who missed all of training camp and the first four weeks to suspension/personal issues. Daniel Ross will pick up Irving's rotational snaps behind Tyrone Crawford, Maliek Collins and Antwaun Woods.

Give him a couple mil and build the roster like he’s not there...when he’s on the field he’s worth a ton of $, just can’t count on him to be there unfortunately. He’s worth the gamble considering how much cap space we will have.

He's just not reliable. He has flashes of great talent, but a team needs to have stability, cohesiveness and continuity. We wasted a 2nd round tender on him and then he misses the 1st 4 games. And that was the second suspension in 2 years. He's got a lot of issues off the field he can't seem to manage. It just isn't working.
