David Irving?

Nearly every RFA with substantial tenders got them today. Waiting until tomorrow isn't crazy.

For Scandrick we need to wait until Wed on, if he is going to have a June 1 designation.

Hanna may be open to a pay cut, so that's a good reason why height be sticking around

Educate yourself and you won't have to rant

Hanna's salary is probably fair for his talent level. They just need to give him snaps.

Why thanks for that, - Nearly every RFA - but ours. They have known for how long that they needed to get Martin's and Lawrence's deals done to free up money for not only FA, and trades (ha ha) ? By 3 pm Wednesday. Just seems to me would have been easier to already been sitting down with their agents and hammer the deals out before last minute.
The back and forth on 2nd round - 1st round tender for Irving also looks like they are dithering on which way to go. If I was Irving that would not make me feel warm and fuzzy about my FO. Also Scandrick, surely they have known which way they are going on all these free agents for a while now. If they had made the decision to trade or cut him, maybe awhile ago they could have been shopping him, oh I don't know, like every other team has been and made deals.

Real or not, perception is that our FO is always a day late and a dollar short.
Totally avoidable, but that is the perception. It seems like the FO (Jones') are too busy with every thing else i.e. draft events etc. More buildings at the Star.

But I'll work on my education - thanks. And I like to Rant sometimes ...

The Cowboys clearing cap space is the same as if you have to move money from your savings account to your checking account before you write a check.

Actually its the same as using one credit card to pay off another. Your still in debt and you still don't have any money. All your doing is pushing it off into the future. Sooner or later you are going to have to sell off everything to pay them back or file bankruptcy. Or you can do like the Cowboys do and sign no one but your own and hope you come out of it. Which obviously isnt working either.

But wait............the salary cap is a myth right? :lmao2::lmao:

It is confusing what the teams intent is here, just the simple fact of leaving this till last minute. And why, after knowing for the last 6 months or so - to get Martins contract done, which would ease up some money - have they not hammered that out ?
Irving, first or second and why last minute.
Martin long term deal to ease up cap space.
What's up with Dez ? And does it tie into Irving's tender ?
No movement on Hanna or Scandrick ? (To free up a little, seeing how they are up against the cap)

Jones' too busy worrying about the show they need to put on for the draft ... do what's right in front of you first !!!
There, that's my rant for today : )
add the franchise tag on Lawerence that has us stuck 17.5 million this year...why not make him 4-5 year deal? how far apart could they be?

Nearly every RFA just got tendered today.

But you are gonna rant because we use the entire period (i.e. 12 extra hours).

Brilliant

You push debt into the future at a negative interest rate moving cap money forward.

Spend less time with emojis and more time learning about the cap.

It'll keep you from making uninformed posts

Carry on cherry picking one part of what I said instead of the whole context of what I was talking about.
And you chewed the next guy out who made a comment as well. Carry on with your bad self there o great and mighty football guru
Bad day ?

Could the wait on tagging/releasing players be because they're trying to work trades still?

This may come down to the final hour if they can/cant get a trade done .

There's really no reason NOT to wait until the last minute other than impatient fans. You never know who might be willing to offer what for a player.

I'm thinking their hope is they get an offer from one of the early 2nd round teams before they tag him.

Teams making offers on RFA? How does that work?

My thought is they're gong after Earl Thomas and are figuring out how to make it work under the cap and still do whatever else they intend. If they can get Earl, they'll likely just let Irving walk.

Question - and I dont know the answer. But in Scandricks case, with Stephen Jones already saying if they couldn't get a trade, he would be cut. (At the combine) Surely no team would offer a trade after he's gone on record saying that ?

Wrong and terrible comparison.

Zero interest credit cards would not catch up to you. It's the interest that makes credit cards a problem.

There is zero interest in regards to the salary cap.

Restructures actually function the opposite of interest because the cap increases every year. Paying players in 2018 with 2021 cap dollars is a net gain.

Why wouldn't they? Its the only way to not be in a bidding war. If teams think OScan will get more in a FA deal, they might deal a late pick for him. That said, this FO has no idea *** they're doing and Stephen Jones needs a muzzle.

Ding ding ding!

Not only that, but its a CC where your max goes up every year no matter how much you owe.

Oh yah, you are another cap expert and we are all listening. LOL

And still the Cowboys sign no one of significance since 2012. Yet the cap is a myth and we can sign anyone we want anytime. :lmao2::lmao::lmao2::lmao:

Its not the interest genius, its the debt. You can keep pushing into the future, but eventually you still have to pay.

LOL.........oh yah, its a net gain. LOL Thats why we can never sign anyone. Yah, restructuring is good for the cap. ahahahahaha!!!!

Your knowledge of the cap is about par with your prognostication and your analysis of one Chaz Green.

Every year you tell us all the Cap is a myth. And every year we all laugh in your face when we sign bottom of the barrell FA's from other teams. Not even enough money to sign our own guys. Typically having to restructure just to fit them in. Oh yah, you are a cap genius. :flagwave::clap:
