Is he smoking dope? I haven’t seen reports lately of him doing that.

Yes, his problem was smoking pot. There are also some issues with his GF and custody of the his child. As if half the people in this world dont have custody issues AND smoke pot. Yet this mental midget cant handle them AND play for the Dallas Cowboys.

That's a bit of a silly statement. Every player has the same "life" outside of football. What they do with it is up to each individual player.

Life can throw a player challenges, like Fred Beard. There was nothing he could do to prevent his health issue and he deserves a pass. He is someone who deserves our collective sympathy and good wishes.

Irving's problems are largely self created. He has certainly had some challenges like injuries which are unavoidable. But the crazy ex, and the suspensions are his own doing.

He doesn't deserve any pass for that from the fans. We can have compassion and good will towards him, but he doesn't really deserve any sympathy, or empathy for the piss poor choices he has made which is pissing off his career and is hindering his team.

You can give him a pass if you want. But quite honestly he doesn't deserve one.
Never once said he deserved a pass. All I said was his personal life seems to be more important than this football team as it should be.

I’m talking about now. What are the reports now because I haven’t heard anything about drug use. There’s more to life than the Cowboys or appeasing their fans.

Actually it seems as though you were advocating giving him a pass. His personal life must be balanced with his football career or he won't have a football career. That's a harsh reality of life.

There are no participation trophies in the NFL. He isn't helping us win right now largely because he is a complete screwup and you guys make excuses for him over and over again. The only thing he is beasting on is riding the couch and playing Madden.

He may eventually get it together and be worth it like Gregory but all indications are he won't. He has talent. But he also has a ten cent brain.

And to think how so many of you lamented not putting a first round tender on him. All we can hope is that he plays lights out in the playoffs this year. Then we can trade him and let him be someone else's problem.

No. He can be dead to real Cowboys fans and that is totally appropriate with his track record.

Ok so since there is a misunderstanding I’m telling you what my point was. He doesn’t seem to be interested in football. What else do you want?

Whatever problems he has in his personal life are self inflicted, whether intentional or not.

I agree that he doesn't seem to care about football. I think he is additionally an idiot.

Ok? Cowboy fans who haven’t moved on from him need to do so now.

I'm all for getting salvage value out of him if the opportunity presents itself. But depending on him would likely be an exercise in futility.

Any chance this guy gets a soul after seeing Crawford go down and knowing his team really needs him now?

Hot boys need you David.

Yes, he is going to going to see a Master Po and Master Chan from Kung ** because they will give him mental techniques to overcome the high-ankle sprain. They can get players back on the field with their mental techniques even if they have broken legs, completely missing ACLs etc..

Jaylon wasted all those months returning to form from the college knee injury when he could have just gone to see these guys.

The fact that Irving has a High Ankle sprain (partially torn ligaments) is irrelevant. It is also irrelevant that some NBA players have missed almost a complete season from a High Ankle sprain.

Obviously, David Irving's devotion is to himself and nobody and/or nothing else.

Unfortunately, the Cowboys keep making it extremely easy for him to do so.

This guy doesn't even cross my mind anymore. Our play in the middle has been a pleasant surprise this year.

SOOO much potential in Irving. Looked like he could have been amazing. That said, Irving, because of injury or distraction, isn't part of game day. He doesn't help. He doesn't look like he's going to help. The only time I even think about him is when I log on here and someone brings him up.

I'm not expecting to see him on the field this post season. Would be great if I was wrong.

Wish I could put my personal issues ahead of my job..lol.
Most people in this world go to work every day so that they can take care of their personal issues after the fact.
This type of brain washed thinking is what is corrupting Americas youth.

What point is a job if mentally you want to harm yourself? You guys keep comparing your job at Wal Mart to the NFL. It’s nothing alike.
