Davis article from Washington Post

Leonard Davis Update, 4:45 pm: An unsubstantiated claim on the Commanders Insider says Davis has left Washington and is headed back to Texas. I’m not sure if this means he’s going to Valley Ranch to negotiate more or just headed back home to his family. Davis took a physical at Commanders Park early this afternoon. I’m looking for confirmation.

well hopefully this clown gets his butt back to VR. although he could be going back home. lol does he reside in texas? or thats just where he's from?

Thats good if hes left DC. You guys can take his lazy *** and try to shape him into a player. Hes failed as a guard and as a tackle. Gigantic waste of space and money.

u have to think that no state tax holds some kind of leverage in the back of this guys mind. lol his wifes mind too.

lol yeah we'll take him aslong as u guys are still stuck with archuleta

Any guesses as to how much in guaranteed money JJ has or will offer Davis?

$12-14mm range, or

$15-20+ area?

Go ahead  I hope he gets the 23 million bonus hes asking from Jerry. He can then buy 23 million big macs for it.

I think 12 million is probably as much as JJ is willing to go.

well when u think about it, he isnt a LT. the cards were stupid to begin with moving him to tackle. they had something very good with him as a guard. they just didnt want to go out and pay for a LT

Very well said!!! The guy is a BEAST at OG and you're right about the Cards being cheap and not wanting to pay a true LT. Davis has always been a better G.. I sure do hope we sign him...

Well, you can tell, all things equal, he'd prefer to go back to Texas.

I'm not sure where you get the "beast OG" thought. He played OG first few years in the league and sucked, got moved to tackle and sucked and now is out of Arizona.

Naw dude, he didn't suck at OG. They moved him to T on their own, not cause he played poorly at OG..

Thanks for the update. I would like to see Davis with a star on his helmet and I think he would be an upgrade at RG. It is however, a tuff pill to swallow when you see the kind of money some of these good, serviceable players are getting. I think Davis has been good so far in his tenure in the league but not great. Iam sure some of that can be blamed on Arizona and the players that he played with and the fact that he could have being playing out of position, but not all of it. Some of the blame lies with him. The reports of him being lazy, out of shape, whatever dont always tell the whole story. Look a Colombo, he wasn't highly thought of when he came here. He suffered injuries and never really lived up to the hype that was associated with him. He comes here, gets healthy, and plays well. Maybe thats what "BIG" needs. The money is just a sign of the times. Teams that have it will spend it (not always wisely)

And if Lil Midget signs him? Will he now become the bestest player ever?

:laugh2:

Of course you're mad now, because the Midget has not signed him...but, if the Midget did...WHOO-HOO...you and your ES buddies would be wetting the bed tonight!

We got your game!

:laugh2:
