Lamb was BPA. If BPA is a clear upgrade especially at QB, LDE, CB, WR, LT you take them. Get real.. QB set, LDE set, LT set but need soon, CB not one worth picking, WR there are three on field. If you can get a cheap contract for their production, you take them. The third CB vs any of our WR is a mismatch. Not to mention good luck stacking the box. I understand it’s not a DE or CB. I wanted one too. I didn’t see one better than Lamb.

I’m buying a Lamb Jersey.

And that's exactly what Jerry wants.

That looks like the kind of guy who you can't pass on at #17 to me. Especially when it fills a need. Not to mention if the Cowboys don't take him, the Eagles probably find a way to. This was the smart pick in the short and long run. This team needs more talent, not just hole fillers. Add to it there was no consensus on safety or any other position left like there was with Lamb. I wanted Chaisson, but as others pointed out, he just doesn't have great tape. We've gotten burned so many times just taking athletes or potential. Why not take the surest thing on the board, the BPA, a player widely regarded as the best in the draft at his position?
Great post.

I disagree. Delpit is not ready to come in and start and be better than Woods. Maybe he has a higher ceiling but he's a safety that takes poor angles and inconsistent as a tackler. That's a issue.
He MAKES plays, woods doesnt. Ankle injuries dont help stop start but his talent is much higher than woods that woods would have nose bleeds
