Same song, same verse.
You have a demented egotist owner/GM who's created a nepotist circus environment, who's kidnapped a once proud, winning franchise over a quarter of a century ago, just broadcasting the same old crap in different text to lure fans into his circus tent. Dak is a good person, who says all the right things, however, cannot perform at the level it takes to win the games that count.
Some fans are ok with this, as they feel anything can happen like panning for gold in the desert. Other fans are seeing through the facade and are tired of the spectacle. The GM is the problem who's going to milk every ounce of $$/patience out of the fans with his flea circus and Dak is just a fading actor trying to stay relevant in his role, only hopes is a top 3 dominate defense similar to (85 Bears, or 01 Ravens) that may cover his obvious shortcomings to contend at the next level. Go Cowboys!!

No, I’m a get as much money as possible while playing a brutal sport for a short period of time guy. So many people sit on a keyboard and give out financial advice as if they wouldn’t seek out the most possible money in their own professions.

Frauds- which is ironic because that’s what they call dak. I guess art does imitate life in this regard
Best post of the month.

One of my biggest gripes is that some fans blame Jerry without seeing what he's doing with Dak (putting the commercialisation over playing ability) is exactly the reason he's an awful owner/GM. Jerry and Dak are intrinsically linked.
The other gripe is that QB's who can't perform in play-offs getting 'market setting' contracts.

if Dak couldn’t win in the playoffs during these past two seasons he won’t likely do it this year; too many holes to fill along with a lack of depth for a team that is not aggressive, or even active in free agency and has drafted questionably in the early rounds.
Yes, the window closed.

Dak needs to be ALL IN by giving a discount. $40 - $45 million / year is more than enough for any franchise QB. Help the team be ALL IN, Dak, like they helped you 3 years ago! Time to return the favor.
Why should Dak give a discount to the worst front office in the N.F.L.?

Oh yea, get your bag. But whilst you're getting your's, those protecting you aren't getting their's.
Maybe Jerry's grown a pair and will allow Dak to play out a contract year.

I’m in no position to tell someone to leave 20 million on the table per year. I wouldn’t do it and I wouldn’t expect him to do i

Great - then no one should complain when we don't spend big in other areas. Dak got his bag and that is priority. ... why not take 40-45 and work on confirming ones legacy and make a deep push for a title in the next 2-3 years? Just my opinion.

so basically he needs 10 pro bowlers on offense surrounding him and then maybe, MAYBE he can get this team out of the wildcard round?

We need a new QB.
Most playoffs successful QBs are surrounded with lots of pro bowlers.

Why would he do that when the franchise has shown they won’t go out in free agency and spend the money? Take less so he saves billionaires millions? It makes no sense. He’ll take less money and they still won’t partake in free agency.
Because there is a salary cap in place and only so much piece of the pie for all players. If you want a better talented team around you, you will take a paycut to help make that happen, especially if you're by far the highest paid player on the team. It's not that hard to understand, unless you don't care about building a better talented team?

Did I miss it?
How many years and how much cashola was he extended for?
Please tell............... :muttley:
It's coming. Make sure to honor your word this time. 3 years ago you said you would disappear if Dak was given a big contract. The big contract was given, yet you never honored your word.

What if we all are looking at this the wrong way.

Maybe Dak does not want a new deal. Not as in another prove it, trust in myself year. Maybe he just wants out.
