Sad. Condolences to the family, of course. His brother appears to be handling a difficult situation with grace, too, which is about all you can say when dealing with the death of a loved one.

Anybody have any more background on what precipitated the illness?

He had a severe case of pneumonia that lead to respiratory and kidney failure.
I never met him in person, but he was very nice to me in the 5 years that we were Twitter and FB friends.
He sent me an autographed jersey 3 years ago.
He was a diehard fan living in NY surrounded by Giants fans.
I will miss him. Gone much too soon.

Seems like so many people I know have passed away in the last year. I lost my brother in December. He was a diehard Cowboys fan too. I know the pain his family is going through.

I had been following this all thru a friend and heard the news last nite. As everyone said there was no bigger fan, and back in the heyday of forums ten years ago he was king. Prayers to his family and friends here, saw some names in this thread that also brought back a lot of memories.
