Yeah. Jerry has no idea what he is doing. Tyrone Crawford should have proved that, or Nick Hayden, the list continues.
Jerry knows how to make money, but has no idea how to build a football team.

It's all ego. You'd think being in this business as long as he has he would have at least been able to learn from people. He'll never win another thing as long as he keeps himself in charge.

Prior to 2020 the defense didn't play poorly so you can't focus solely on the defense. There are plenty of examples where the defense kept opposing offenses below 20 points but the Dallas offense never showed up.
Just simply basing off of re
Carter played LDE pretty well in pre=season, is he on our practice squad?
Arizona practice squad.

100% guaranteed he’s the move next week

If the Cowboys want to buy low on an expiring contract w/massive potential then Fowler could be a good trade target to replace Dlaw.

Another change of scenery might do Fowler some good after a disappointing season & the Falcons certainly aren’t committed to him.

I wonder if Quinn calls up Vic Beasley. Coached him in Atlanta

His best season came as an OLB and while I see your viewpoint I doubt JJ makes a trade prior to seeing what 'his guys' can do.

Bad thing is it seems among the worst kind of breaks being 6 weeks minimum.
good thing is its' not a season ending injury.
Now we get to see and rate the quality of our depth.

Starting DE's at the Chargers may be Tarell Basham and Dorance Armstrong; with Bradlee Anae first off the bench. Get well soon, Randy Gregory.

Starting
RDE - Basham
LDE - Armstrong

Depth
RE -: Anae
LE - Gholston

Kamara - rush specialist

Update Added

NOOOOOOOO!!!!!! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO!

Ok, childish rant over. I mean what the actual f*#! did we do to deserve this? Last year the injuries overwhelmed. Now it is disease here, injury there, suspension demon above, broken foot below. I suppose it is good it happened early but c'mon man, so incredibly frustrating. Hopefully Anae and company can semblance something of a surprise rush Sunday. F*#! the disease, f*#! phantom suspensions, f*#! it obvious calls that cost a game (again), f*#! it all (is what I want to say).

And yet I hold out hope. GO COWBOYS!

Seems this team can’t avoid losing significant players. If it’s not an illness or injury it’s a suspension. Seems like every few days you’ll log into this board you see “Breaking News” with yet another key player out. It’s looking like this may end up being another season not meant to be for the Cowboys. This next player up thing doesn’t seem to work for us. We need our top players to have any chance. There’s several teams that can lose a couple of key players and still find a way to win but not the Cowboys. Our entire defense fell apart a couple of years ago when Sean Lee went out. It’s not like we have a stellar pass rush with DLaw. We better get some players to step up or this is going to be another long season.
At least partly our own fault. We draft and overpay players w/ injury issues. We paid DLaw while he was refusing surgery.

Because he couldnt stay healthy…

This isn’t apples to apples. Lee was never paid like the best LB on planet Earth. Why didn’t Joey Boss’s stats plummet when people realized he was good and they double teamed him? Why didn’t JJ Watt’s? Myles Garrett’s? Julius Peppers? Michael Strahan?

Demarcus Lawrence is still a contributor, but you and I both know they’re not giving him 20m$ a year to play great run D and almost get to the QB a lot. It’s been three years since his last multi-sack game. His sack numbers have dropped by 2/3rd’s since he hit 14.5, and you want to imply this is all simply racial in nature.

People aren’t mad at Dlaw because they like him less. They’re mad at Dlaw because they were so desperate to like him more and he let them down. This place used to slobber over that guy something fierce.

You have no idea what you're talking about.

First off JJ Watt is a terrible example. He's played 48 games in 5 years...the two seasons he played 6 games he didn't get anything more than 7 sacks in a whole season....

The issue here is that Lawrence isn't a pass rusher. He's not a big time sacks guy. I don't know why you guys fail to realize that lol. Lawrence is not JJ Watt in his prime, Julius or Garrett....those guys are pass rushers.

After JJ Watt got 20 sacks, he got 10.5, then he got 17.5, injured for 2 years, then he got 16 again. His sacks didn’t plummet after opposing teams started doubling him.

DLaw is considered a premier pass rusher because DLaw asked for a premier pass rusher contract after putting up those sacks. If you knew what DLaw was going to do after the contract, would you still give him 20m$ a year?

JJ Watt was a generational talent akin to Donald. If you are only going to pay generational talents you are going to be waiting awhile.

Losing DLaw is a big blow, I would think Cowboys will look outside to bring in a vet. Vic Beasley played under Quinn, Adrian Clayborn another who played under Quinn. I was going to mention Tyron Crawford but did not want to start a riot. lol there is also Dion Jordan out there.

No Beaz. Beaz is a head case .. no one knows how to motivate him.

Our rookies are actually generating pass rush.

MP should be in the rotation at LEO. He's probably our best healthy pass rusher.

It was the name he selected out of my list. Joey Bosa, Julius Peppers, Jared Allen, Myles Garrett, Chandler Jones, Dwight Freeney… this is the tier of premier pass rusher DLaw is being paid to be in.

They are getting paid more, and not by a small amount at least the 3 down players are. If you want a pass rush specialist useless on half the plays you can get that for 15-18m.
