Crawford might be a guy who we could look to trade in the off season. He might be a pretty good 3-4 DE which is what we drafted him to do. Maybe we could trade him to a team that has an undersized 3-4 DE.
He is pretty good 3T, unfortunately this year he is the best SDE we have besides Lawrence who has to WDE.

I don't think Crawford is as good as Collins, so he is expendable at 3T.
Maybe but the team is fortunate to have the depth it does at DT where they can make a guy like Crawford man a position that he is not well suited for but at least remains stout against the run.

I mentioned it before but we have a DT playing LDE and a LDE playing RDE. Both guys are too big/fat for their respective positions. They both actually intentionally gained weight to play the positions they thought they would play .

T. Crawford was a 3-4 DE who gained weight to play 3T DT and DLaw was a RDE who gained weight to play LDE. It helps stopping the run but not so much in rushing the passer.

I noticed how much fat DLaw looks compare to his rookie year. He looked leaner and more athletic in his rookie year. He actually has a bigger gut now than fat version of Romo .

Do you think if we acquired a good quality DE to rush the passer that Lawrence would be good enough on the off side?

I think so. He's playing out of position with all the weight he's gained to play the LDE. He is good enough go against the RT but not good enough against the LT. LT typically is the better OT for most teams.

it seems like we have the slowest starting and back up DE's in the nfl.

Sad gregory is so stupid and stuck on weed. We could really use him right now.
Stop. He's a JAG. I'm tired of people acting like since he hasn't been able to play, he's elite all of a sudden.

2017 NFL Draft. Simple as that.
No, it's not that simple you can t just fix an o'line with 2 fresh draft picks with zero NFL experience, and expect Them to turn things around. You need a FA signing as well.

Looking forward to a couple of our DE's being former Cowboys this off season.

Yup, but would you take our current JAGS with a wee bit of experience in our system over our future set of JAGS with little to no experience not in our system? :banghead:

I fear that may happen if we can't land a stud DE in the draft :(

DL group may be the worst assembled group in cowboys history.

And they are NOT getting coached up in any way shape or form.
Well then, we must have the most amazing DL history of any team in the league, because this DL is 2nd against the run in the entire league. No one runs against us. And on top of that we are slightly below average in sacks for the year with 23. So not bad for worst DL in team history.
