Favre - NO
Montana - NO
Young - NO Won later in career when he stopped running.
Staubach - MAYBE - ran more as a dodger to buy time - not a Vick LIKE strategy. Those were real strong Dallas teams and Roger was also a pocket passer. That Dallas era team also had some Big losses in that run.

Montana Farve and Young all had offense's taylored to get them outside so they could take advantage of there scrambling ability..

:starspin *Vince Young #1:starspin

Young ran for 454 yards in his next to last season. In fact, it was the second highest total of his career. He also ran for 6 TD's that season.

Staubach was a mixed bag. In 1971, he was a running QB. He ran for over 8 yds per carry. That's alot more than just dodging to buy time. Later on in his career, he had excellent escapability..but he was not as much of a runner.

Montana had some escapability. So did Favre. I wouldn't consider either one a "running" QB.

A QB with escapability skills........Ummmmmmm I think we found the missing link.

Brett Farve
Joe Montana
Steve Young
Roger Staubach......They all could buy time in the pocket

Yes i'm a huge fan of the Playmaker and Moose..There ain't a player in the draft, going to make a bigger impact then,

:star: :star: VINCE YOUNG:star: :star:

Man oh man Santiago, you're closing in on 10K.

Yep...I think, especially given the new, offense friendly pass defense rules, it's more important than ever for a QB to have good feet in order to buy that extra split second because sooner or later a WR is going to break loose on a route.

I do know one thing, either T. Romo or D. Henson will not be on the opening roster, and another low-priced vet FA will. It won't be Pennington though, he's done.

Can you imagine the impact he will bring to the team.Camp will be packed to capacity.Fams from all over the world to see this great wonder that took the NCAA NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP BY STORM!

The next Cowboy great,

:star: :starspin :star: Vince Young:star: :starspin :star:

Jerry pulls the trigger once again on a great QB!

Tom landry is smiling down on the team
