LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!! In no way shape form or fashion is noodle armed Pennington an upgrade over Bledsoe. Romo is an upgrade to Chad.

Pennington had no arm BEFORE the first injury....he probably won't be able to pick up a fork until 2009.

And couldn't throw the ball over 30 yds

Why that isn't painfully obvious to some is beyond me.

If Chad is released from the Jets and if Romo and Henson are not the answer . Sign Him to a incentive based 3 year contract. Let him sit this year out so he can get healthy. When Bledsoe retires wala! We have our QB of the future. By then The O-Line should be in Order.

Uh...there's a bit of a difference between the two you cited and Pennington...I seriously doubt the Colts or the Eagles would trade Manning or McNabb even up for Pennington.

The other two guys have the physical tools.

Pennington doesn't.

McNabb has obviously beaten good defenses or he wouldn't have been in the Championship game 4 times.

Manning is a choke artist. But has phenomenal skills.

Pennington..if you look at his last few seasons, he couldn't beat good teams DURING the season..let alone the playoffs.

No thanks.

:)
mcnabb beat a good defense?

when?

where?

if he did it was a RARE EVENT

ROTFLMAO.

(he was owned by TB, NE and every other team with a serviceable defense in games that count last i checked).

ditto for peyton

chad is probably 2x smarter than peyton and donny combined

Now, if you want to use the argument "rag arm" no big deal as he'll come cheap and can sit 2006 out under Bledsoe.

He may have not had a strong arm, but he could throw over thirty...seen him do it many times to randy moss.

So, McNabb made it to the Super Bowl once...four championship games a never beat a good defense?

falcons have a great defense? the NFC STUNK for the past half decade outside TBs one year wonder.

I mean, you're cherry picking arguments without merit.

chad faced the best team in the NFL for 4 years running (Pats) 2x yearly.

Donny faced the NFC least (we all saw how he did this year with some competition).

Stick to the "his arm is shot" argument as the rest of it is nonsensical :)

How do we Know that his arm is shot? Unless Doctor James Andrews is posting here. Maybe the Jets rushed him back into service ala BP before his shoulder could heal from the first injury. I'm not saying the guy has a rocket arm but neither did Montana. He does have the intangibles that maybe Romo
or Henson do not have. And like I said Incentive based contract.

Go back and read.... I wrote that if you look at Pennington's last few season he hasn't beaten a good defense...

You cite the Pats..ok, as I stated, his last few seasons... he played the Pats...in 2003 he put up 16 points and lost...in 2004 he put up 7 and lost....in 2004 again, he put up 7 and lost...

In the same time frame, he put up a total of 29 points in three games vs the Steelers...and lost two of those three.

59 points in 6 games vs the Pats and Steelers...

You wanna keep running your mouth?

Again, all I stated was, after his first big year under Hackett, he had trouble beating teams with good defenses.

Thank you for making my argument for me.

When you're GM, you can trade Pennington even up for Manning.

Why do people always try and use Montana as an example when saying someone doesn't have the best arm?

Chad Pennington couldn't stand in Joe Montana's shadow and see the sun.
