Deebo Samuel traded to Washington

Good move. Even if Deebo isn't as good as he used to be, look at the guys Washington was relying on after McLauren. If old Zach Ertz can be productive in a Kingsbury/Jayden Daniels offense then they should be able to get a lot of out Deebo

Deebo is going for a 5th because of his cap hit right before free agency. Trade value is just as much about the contract as it is the player.

This is a move a team like Washington should be making taking advantage of a rookie qb contract.

Deebo is washed lol.

You guys are in love from 2 years ago. He’s washed and can’t stay healthy now. Good move for San Fran for getting a 5th for someone they were about to cut.
He’s better than what they would have drafted with the 5th round pick. He’s expensive, but for one year and they have plenty of cap space. Point is they’re trying to improve their roster. It seems as if they’re intent on toppling the Eagles, winning the division.

I hope the Giants do well next year.

I really want the Cowboys to be buried at the bottom of the division.
I'm not sure why you want this. I want them to revise what they are doing and actually become contenders. I don't see what purpose being buried at the bottom of the division would accomplish if they revise their ways, other than making fans who hate our team happy. Now, if they fail to use free agency to improve the team, then I can understand wanting them to be buried.

Exactly. You know ball.
You can tell who pays attention and who doesn’t. Deebo is washed and was gonna get released.
Washington not really hurting for cap space. All they traded was a 5th round pick, he played 15 games each the last two seasons, Washington probably wont rush him like the 49ers did. He'll be the #2 receiver, who is better than Cooks or Mingo. Fact is, Washington won on this deal

And they will most likely restructure it into a 3 year deal.

Deebo had 51 catches for 670 yards and 3 TDs last year in 15 games. Our No. 2 receiver, Cooks, had 26 for 259 yards and 3 TDs in 10 games.

I'd take Deebo for a fifth. He put up No. 2 numbers and we could use a better No. 2 than what we had.
Deebo put those stats up as a number 1. Aiyuk only played 7 games last year.

As far as our number 2 goes…why would anyone want to waste 21 million and a 5th on Deebo or Cooks? I’d rather draft a guy.

In six years Deebo has had 1 season or 1k yards. Now if Deebo got cut and we got him at a reduced salary I for sure would look into it. The guys whole game is physicality and he’s always hurt or hobbled.

I liked the idea of them getting Higgins. That made far more sense.

He might be washed as others have mentioned but I can appreciate the Commodes willingness to take on salary while their QB is on a rookie deal.

The issue I have is not how the Cowboys are not spending big money now with the half a dozen legit star players they need to pay.

Instead it is that they did not do so while Dak was on his rookie deal and have been cheap the whole way.

They have a strategic vision and it sucks.
When Dak was on his rookie deal, they were still paying Romo.

I'd rather use a fifth-round pick on a proven player than use picks on unproven ones who may turn out more like Tolbert or Brooks than Samuel, especially when we have other needs. The draft is no guarantee of success.

Who's your sure-bet fifth-round draft pick who is going to be better than Deebo? The contract needs some work, but we need to improve No. 1 receiver. The fact that Deebo had to be No. 1 for San Fran last year should mean he'll have better success being No. 2 to McLaurin or would have with Lamb.

He's been pretty mediocre since he got paid. Last three years 632, 892, 670 yards. Reminds me of Zeke. Went from superstar to average player in a hurry. Took a lot of punishment early in his career.

He played 15 games but he was hurt and just played in some of those games. His body has been breaking down.

49ers were going to cut him. They had no intentions of having him on the books for next year. So to get a 5th for a guy they were gonna cut? A W.

Deebo is not a good fun receiver to just utilize as a route runner. His value is his running ability as well.

For Commanders it’s not terrible but I would’ve held out for a better receiver.

What you want will never happen unless complete rock bottom happens.

Every year Jerry has this "right around the rim" or "if not for the injuries" BS excuses.

We need it to be definitive. We need rock bottom.

Jerry will trade higher picks for cost effective contracts.
