Defense 11th overall

You may have felt that way but there was no proof. There was no way a team can have the worst defense in the league last year and then lose Sean Lee, Demarcus Ware and Jason Hatcher and you can think we would improve. Maybe you thought we'd improve simply because you can't do any worse than worst in the league but there was no proof.

Where did I say I "proved" it.

Our offense is going to improve and barring injury I can only see the defense improving as they gel and we get Scandrick and some of our injured pass rushers back.

I never said you "proved it". Not sure where you got that from in my post but i'm saying its one thing to "feel" something. You may have felt it. You may have predicted this. But there was nothing that should lead you to believe that is my point.

with the offense controlling the clock, the D gets like 12-14 less plays a game. Since the yds per play is the same, the better rating is mostly due to that

The defense has played well in the red zone, which also helps a lot.
